Ok friends,
Our friend Ghundak is saying the U.S. has lost in Afghanistan and on that basis propagating against and advocating further conflict and is hence rejecting the notion of peace and reconciliation among Afghans. I have argued that the conflict in Afghanistan is as much an internal defaacto conflict as it is between the U.S. and Taliban. I have argued that the Afghan government which consists of majority of Afghanistan population and pollitical groups is in direct conflict with Taliban. And as such anything regarding the conflict resolution and the status of U.S. on Afghan soil starts and ends with an outcome of inter-Afghan solution.
So I kindly ask him and the rest of you to take part in this thread, which will be educational for me personally and other forumers.
I would ask Ghundak and others to conduct their debate in a systematic manner and professionally. No randon biggotary, sentimental talks and anecdotes.
I think to keep with the systematic appraoch we shall divide the topic in to two parts: 1) militarily; and 2) politically.
Ghundak, argues that Americans are defeated which would mean the current Afghan governmnment too, given that both are the same side in the conflict and Afghan and U.S. soldiers alike are dying in the conflict.
Friends, to put it in simple words, internvention in modern era in its foci is re-ordering and reshaping the political order of the country where intervention takes place. And as such, haven't the Americans then by that token achieved that objectives? Saying that, Ghundal (Bull******ter) is saying/claiming that the aim of Taliban is not coming to power but only driving the invaders away from Afghanistan, even if we accept this arguement then aren't the Talibs aactually DEFEATED AND permenantly DEPOSED that they will never come back into power?
