Why don't the Taliban agree to talk to majority of the Afghans and the government as well as denounce international terrorism so the war can be brought to an end.
It is a fact that the current war is not only between U.S. and Taliban the so called representers of all of Afghans but between the Taliban and the Afghan government which is also the main party to the conflict that comprises majority of Afghanistan, so by implcation this is a civil war amongst us, or who will guarantee that if the U.S. is no longer in Afghanistan there wouldn't be a civil war.
As long as we cannot end this civil-war amongst us we cannot expel the U.S.
Taliban should learn from Mutada-Al-Sadr of Iraq and learn politics, for war is an instrument of politics. If Afghans unite, against the collective will and desire of Afghans U.S. and foreigners cannot remain a day in Afghanistan.
Taliban should never surrender to any one, if they come to compromise with the government and if the U.S. insist on war, they will have the support of the majority of Afghanistan against the U.S. They need to take their people in to confidence first for an Afghan settlement internally, the rest is what history has already proven.
But can Taliban play politics as it wishes and desire and not have made themselves hostage to others?
