a good politician has to be on good terms with different parties. he's a heroe because he is the only politician that has the guts to speak the truth against the atrocities of america and her proxy armies.

pakistan, pakistan, I think they mean war on pashtun and baluch. Pakistan is benifitting from this war with billions of dollars in American military aid. Pak army can go to hell.

respect to the innocent people of pakistan though. Its unfortunate they have to live under such imbeciles.
dont focus on the title but on his message. he himself says its a war against pashtuns.

I never knew too much about him, but now I like this man. His speeches got solid points, it's a different thing non-Pukhtoons ignore his defence of Pukhtoons.

Actually, I'm annoyed at this man because he's whipping up hysteria following the Raymond Davis release. The rights/wrongs of this go much, much further than a media frenzy that will, in the due course subside. Pakistan was never going to hold on to Mr Davis - the Americans are much too poweful, and the truth is that Pakistan's soul was sold to the highest bidder ages ago. But you see what is happening here ... quick point scoring and feather in cap politics by people who should know better.

The wool is being pulled over people's eyes by the likes of Imran Khan. Politicians in Pakistan know exactly that the country's real priorities are in development and basics such as electricity, schools and hospitals, not street protests for things that they cannot affect.

But worse, if people can take to the streets over the tragic killing of two men by an American, a suicide and the American's release in a blood-money payment, then I find it tragic that 40 plus people can be killed by a drone in the Pashtoon belt and we're simply not important enough for the Pakistan media and their political bigwigs/smallwigs to muster up the same level of street protest.

Pashtoons continue to be marginalised and people like Imran Khan ("Pashtoon-of-sorts") should be a little more balanced in their priorities/intents/protests.

you guys are just burning inside because he doesnt lash out against taliban and blame everything on them like every other politician does and instead acknowledges the reality that they are merely a reactionary force to western-led terrorism

qunduz many people will look for others to blame than the rightfully to blame.
they cant america or pakistani government and if you ask them they will say "america is not muslim so we cant expect much from them" while at the end this has nothing to add to the reality.

imran Khan did say good things and if people dont appreciate him because he speaks better english or speaks in punjabi means these people are more worried about their personal pride than human lives.

Qunduz, you once said, your family saw a Arab Imperialist pop out of his grave after 200 years or so, and you praised this arab who once wiped your ancestors real identity, now you praise another Imperialist by the name of Imran Khan, who supports Afghan Taliban and Loves Pakistan, he considers those who fight against Pakistan as CIA Raw agents and praises the Afghan Taliban who chop guys ears off and shoot innocent people in banks.

Qunduz, you are truely one of the mules of this Pakistani Propaganda machine. One day the War on terror is a War on Islam and now Lashkar E Tayba Punjabi Militant Graveyardofempires says its a War on Pashtuns, make up your mind guys, because the only people Taliban are killing are Pashtuns.

Regarding Imran aka Talib Khan, for your kind information Mr Qunduz, It was the same Imran khan who opposed the renaming of NWFP to Pakhtunkhwa and visited the graves of the Punjabi-Hindkowans who protested against it in Abbotabad.

Its so typical of Jihadi-Minded Afghans who fall for Paki-Propaganda.

This is why joining Afghanistan would be a total disaster. I long for the 70's to come back, I wish for the gulags to return to throw the Mullahs and their Arab supporters into.

                        Enjoy my comment.

There were many who were prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt, but when a relative's brother-in-law has his throat slit, things change. It's not as easy to cast the Taliban into the role of "romantic rebels".

And Imran Khan wouldn't last 10 minutes if his country was run by the Taliban.

                          (a) he has a past "history"
                          (b) try as I might, I cannot figure out where his beard is

yeah thanks. he speaks the truth and people still have the nerve to scramble around for things to criticize him with. we should at least give him credit for speaking up for the poor oppressed tribals and pakhtane. that takes a lot of courage during a time when nearly all politicians cant think for themselves and instead simply reiterate the bushist party line supporting or being passive about humanitarian crimes.

Qunduz I have actually went to his party site and have interacted with his party members, and believe me 9/10 they are very much rightwing Pakistani first folk. His rhetoric is quite close to the others in this regard and as Tor Khan said he romanticizes the talibs (basically he has a sort of orientalist description about his own Pashtun people) and has created that as a focal point behind his explanations. The problems that are in Pashtun areas and how he basis them starting from the 2001 invasion is not a plausible starting imho. He also falls short of critiquing the real cliques of power within his country (read military/Intelligence).
