I think emkhan is right as for as ISI hand in the violence in Swat is concerned...ISI has been running training camps in Mansehra and Kashmir for Jehadis and Swat was the active recruiting ground for that with Jiash-i-Mohammad and other terrorist outfits the assets of Pakistan's army very active in all this activity...There is some evidence that ISI shifted some Al-Qaueda leadership to Swat in 2001...In 2007, Pakistan army shifted fighters from Waziristan to Swat...the overall plan was to convert Swat into a sanctuary for Jehadis away from drones and linked to Kashmir and Afghanistan via Dir, Bunair, Gadun Amazai, ...

It was when US pressured the Punjabi Army did it take action against its asset...

Even now Muslim Khan, Sofi Mohammad etc. are in the protective custody of ISI...

i disagree with a few points of Toramana...
kashmir issue was totally dead in the musharraf era... musharraf had totally closed the kashmir jihad issue.... but the swat issue was totally a different thing .... people were extremely terrified by both the sides. you support the taliban, you would get killed tomorrow by the army men. you support the army you would get killed by the taliban ... people were made so much confused you cant imagine... you know people were getting mentaly disturbed.
trucks of weapons used to come for taliban.... stopped on the check post, telephone used to come from islamabad and the truck released....
the check posts of the army and the taliban were at a distance of one or two kilometeres... poeple didnt know whats going on ....
people of other districts used to call us with different names but when it came on them then they realize that it was horrible, confusing, dark and inhuman game.

people talk of woman jewellery given to the taliban and this and that.... when i hear such stupid statements i laugh ....
one should have some sense and mind

Now once again you are entering into theories, instead of replying straight to what I asked ..

Now may I ask ISI will do a drama to kill it's own soldiers for what? Now many bull**** people will say for dollars and I will say How on earth can you compare those Dollars with the damage this terrorism has done?

These are Four SSG's - one is a captain - ALL caught spying which caused the breach of the peace accord. With added pressure from Washington, it resulted in the Swat Operation.
