Basically, Suroobi, Char Asyab, Paghman and those areas are essentially 'Wardak' whereas Maydan Shahr is not Wardak.

The reasons for the exact division and creation of Kabul Province, Logar Province and Wardak were very political and artificial.
Last edited by Guest; 03-02-2011, 02:33 AM. Reason: Factual Error: I think Suroobi is within Nangarhar now?

Kabul Province is an artificial administrative/political creation. It's northern districts like Kalakan, Istalef, etc are as Tajik as Shamali. It's southern districts like Char Asyab and Soroobi are today as Pashtun as Paktia. I'm talking about the ancient Kabul (Kabul City).

My issue is with Kabul (City) and people having wet dreams about Kabul (City) being within the domain of a Pakistan or Loy-Afghanistan/Pashtunistan.

i agree when it comes to kabul belonging to all groups, as do i believe all of afghanistan belongs to all citizens. a pashtun nationalist has no right claiming kabul as their own any more than a tajik nationalist does. if anything, kabul city is the heart of all our groups.

i dont have a boner for statistics and who owns what. nor am i a nationalist, so i believe we must make due with the borders we have do right by islam by providing justice and prosperity to all.

i have read that u are interested in ghani khan,

u may have read this before but here it is

      The Pathans by Ghani Khan

There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Well, I also don't consider or see myself as an ethnic or any sort of Nationalist, I would be content with a plural peaceful Islamic multi-cultural Afghanistan within it's present borders. An Afghanistan where all languages are treated equally, no ethnic group claims to be a 'big brother' etc.

But the Afghanistan that I want, majority of Pastuns don't want (as well as many of the young Tajiks) and so I'm in the process of de-afghaniying myself. lol

Thanks for the link. My uncle is in afg atm and reckons he has found a book in Farsi of Ghani Khan's work. so looking forward to him bringing it.

btw this is rick rude right?

pashto is not even developed in pashtun areas, so naturally pashtuns try to compensate by elevating the language to a status higher than it deserves. i am of the belief that u should get ur **** straight at home before promoting urself. though, farsi has been pushed in pashtun areas also so its not like everyone is playing fair here. its like 17 yr olds fighting over who has the better mustache.

tell ur uncle to go to that one book store in kabul, forgot what part of the city it was. its the same store from that "bookseller of kabul" book. they have a really big variety of books on afg.

As with any border region between any two countries there are bound to be close links between the communities and certain tribes straddling the modern international borders. These links will be magnified in case of the Af-Pak border since the two groups have religious and linguistic links between them. Remember, Pakistani is a nationality, not an ethnic group.

This was a security conference discussing the need to regulate the border so the so-called Taliban don't go back and forth. Ironically this has been a harping call from afghanistanis themselves who like to blame their pitiful conditions on Pakistan. If what you say is true, then it is your own 'brothers' and 'families' which are crossing into afghanistan, causing havoc, and retreating back into the safety of their own country, Pakistan.

Try refuting any of his points instead of coming up with false boogies about Pakistan 'taking' the Pakhtuns of afghanistan and making them sing the qaumi tarana. Less emotionalism please.

              Idiot, he said Pakhtun.
**** pakistan and this type of pashtuns

thats your wet dream and we will not put your faqrsparast interests above national interest,no ethnic group claimed to be big brother and your wish of having pukhtane lowered to 30% as your cia "facts" book states will go with you to your grave.Majority of pukhtane want Afghan national interest and not farsparast interests.
