Is this not the order of Taliban’s leader Mullah Omar to his militants to kill or capture any civilian, including Afghan women and children who cooperate with their government and Coalition forces? http://www.longwarjournal.org/archiv...r_orders_t.php Today unfortunately more innocent civilian Afghan men, women and children are dying in their country than at any time since 2001 due to indiscriminate insurgents attack on civilians. Dear readers, new UN report shows that in the first six months of 2010 176 children were killed and 389 injured, 76 percent of the killings have been attributed to insurgent’s indiscriminate suicide bombings or roadside bomb attacks. UNAMA has also documented four cases of Taliban extrajudicial killing of children on suspicion that they were spying for the government. Dear readers have not Taliban who claim, carrying gun in one hand and Quran in the other hanged a seven year old boy in Helmand province who was suspected by Taliban of spying for the government? What part of Shari’a or international human rights law would allow one to execute a seven year old boy? Recently United Nation’s Secretary General, UNO Banki Moon said that 1,795 children have been killed or injured during insurgent attacks and joint operations of Afghan and international security forces. The overwhelming majority of the killings have been attributed by human rights agencies to deliberate indiscriminate suicide bomb attacks, roadside bombs, assassinations and abductions by the Taliban. In the report Secretary General Moon stated that the Taliban are deliberately targeting civilians they perceive to be supportive of the legitimate Afghan government. Most importantly, for our dear readers, the Secretary General’s report acknowledged the successful efforts by Afghan and International Forces in minimizing civilian casualties to 27 percent

Dear readers the Taliban insurgents menace the Afghan population in many different ways -- from indiscriminate violence, oppressive practices, the imposition of an extremist ideology and in preventing the growth and development of basic services. Have not those who claim to be the protector of local population once again brought disgrace upon themselves by killing 10 innocent civilians and injuring 41 others through today’s car bombing attack in khowst province?
