You Pashtun Student Union members should be smart enough to make their own decisions, they should be able to hear other views. About your friend from Mardan about Afghan "mahajirs". Well, he is most probably a Yousafzai like me, and we Yousafzais were also "mahajirs" from Kabul valley and Qandahar some 14 generations ago...so I guess if anyone is a kabulii or mahajir it is us Yousafzais. Second of all, I will see his pashto when he gets the boot like Swat IDPs did in panjab and sindh :-).

Its true hypocracy as at one hand afghans hate pakistani pashtuns calling them punjabi, spread hate for punjabis...But on the other hand they Love dirty black Indians.

You a nice guy with good intentions but you extermely naive and you like to fruf some times wrora. No, they have economic and security intersts in Afghanistan. Common interests and we benifit from each other. They want to be involved there and want to have trade with us and through us with other countries too, as much as they need us we need them. Indian agents and supporting militants is Pakistani propaganda and nothing more. Most Taliban are Pakistani agents (majority 90%, the rest cannot be controlled), and some who bite back are the ones one way or the other have issues with the double game Pakistan is playing. Some of them don't agree with Pak two face policies. When you play with fire you tend to have blow back. Tell me if you were a Taliban and you fight for your principle and cause, would you not attack Pakistan first and then go for Afghan army and the international forces? Why kill Afghan army and not napaki?

Khore, I have been to Quetta couple of times some years ago and it feels like you are in another part of Afghansitan, the people, the culture..everything... But I have heard about the treatment of Afghans in Peshawar and it is heartbreaking, Peshwari people, particular the urban ones (unlike ppl from Quetta and tribal Pashtuns who are basically us) I have heard are completely different and they attitude towards Afghans. They have much in common with Panjab. I hope benamoosa Afghan government start doing something about its people and bring them back to their land. Deer spak sawi yu. Nothing is worse than some beghairata toormakhi giving Afghans peeghor. May Allah get us through this test he has set for us.

i grew up in Quetta... all my childhood up until my mid teenage years i lived in quetta... 10 years!... muhajir was an un-heard term for me.... Quetta is afghanistan... i just love the city... i never felt like ihave left afghanistan after going to quetta... but Peshawar? ... lol... heard many many bad stories from relatives that lived there...

Oh well, I find myself and others like me lucky for not being one of those who had to live in countries like Pakistan and Iran etc. I definitely feel for those who have. So glad I was brought up in the West.

and i always thank God we didn't go to peshawar... i have nothing against them its just i have heard so many bad stories from there that i thank God everytime i remember i lived in Quetta... anyone who would call afghans muhajir in quetta would get their mouth broken... thats how united local people and afghans were...

My house was invaded by Pashtun women yesterday.. my mums friends.. one of them, (who's *just* returned from Pak), was shocked that my mother had only recently learnt about such happenings. She says it's been going on for a while over there, all the men in high places have boys.

History is the biggest eyewitness to ISI's keyrole in interfering in Afghan internal affairs on the tunes of CIA. And please do not start save face from this fact with another dumb excuse.

WE never claimed that India cared for us nor we can ignore the fact that it has never taken any part in interfering in Afghans' internal affairs unlike Pakistan. Pakistan accepted 6 million of Afghans NOT FOR FREE!

- Pakistan's been annually paid by U.N for giving the Afghans a "so called refugee".

- in 2006 U.N decided to give the Afghans living in Pakistan a legal status, they signed an agreement with the Pakistani government; the agreement would issue ID cards to Afghans living all over Pakistan for 3 years and this was not free it cost $6 Billion dollars.

- This is not the first time Pakistan has taken money it has happened before and it'll keep on happening.

- The ID cards expired on December 2009, U.N sent a letter to Pakistan's both internal and external affairs that until the ID cards are not extended the Pakistani police should not arrest/annoy the Afghans for the sake of money. But guess what it did not stop in there, the Pakistani police kept on bothering the Afghans with different excuses just for the sake of money.

- As for India, this is a known fact that between 2000-2002 majority of Afghans of living there as refugees were sent to U.S and Canada and given asylum in there, this was done by U.N as per their discussions with the Indian government.

I am not taking any particular side in here, all I'm trying to say is that we are all going to stand in front of Allah (SWT) some day and answer for our deeds. The best possible way is to be honest and agree with the facts instead of covering them to avoid any embarrassment.

Last but not the least it is not a problem to research/study and get our facts right before jumping into conclusion. The things I have said many of my Pakistani brothers at the time when I lived in Pakistan have agreed with me and they were no ordinary people. They were journalists working for high profiled newspapers.

Peshawar is the most horrible Pashtun city for Afghans. Ive heard terrible stories as well.

Quetta feels like Afghanistan because it was once part of Kandahar Province lol.

Thats why they are heavily influenced by Kandaharis and Talk like Kandaharis.


They still have Kandahary Bazar...If you rememeber Gulmina..

of course i remember... oh my goodness... such fond memories i have of Quetta... I remember how most of the Jewelery stores belonged to kandaharis... a couple fo the owners were our relatives...

i went to islamabad to stay with my maamaa for a couple of months and thats where i heard the name "muhajir" for the first time... iwas just shocked... i looked at mom and said... what does this mean... she had to explain to me haha...
