How many of us know Brits and Americans who stare at you glaze-eyed, worried sick about what is about to happen to them in their old age and deeply in debt and unhappy at heart. Riches don't promise you happiness and salvation and no amount of Americas of Englands will get you closer to Allah or fulfill a natural inner quest for that spiritual something.

Our Pashtoon lands may be awash with so many problems, but there's nothing like Pashtoonwali, there's nothing like Melmastia and there's nothing like the real openess and freedom that our people have campaigned so hard for. No, not even in the "liberated" west. You're typical day in England means that you are likely to be caught on surveillance camera more than 300 times a day and that if your chip/pin doesn't work your assets are frozen, your name is blackmarked on every database from A-Z and the state closes its rings around you.

The Americans and Brits made a good pretence of the lie that USSR were at the root of all evil and that Russia = Big Brother State whilst they themselves equaled freedom and opportunity. In the process, the Americans ruined Afghanistan, pimped Pakistan and Europe closed the door on refugees. Freedom and opportunity. My foot.

America is a brilliant country. I love the place. I also hate what they have done to the rest of us.
I disagree with pretty much everything you said above.
That very same USA is killing our innocent Pashtuns, now they are planning to attack one of the the most influential Pashtun cultural strongholds of all time, Kandahar. As times pass, you will realize how "brilliant" they are.

    SMH.

Actually, TruePashtun, if you read back over what I said, you'll find that I'm pro the protection of Pashtoon strongholds, whilst not being over enamoured by the West. I *do* say that the US is a mixed bag, and I intensely dislike the sense that they can act as if the rest of the world is their back yard.

Read back TruePashtun and you'll see that I don't think that the US/UK is the beacon of all things brilliant. Not in the slightest.

Okay, I guess I misread, If you support the U.K or U.S.A you are against the Pashtun nation. Its is your TAX payer money that is killing the innocent blood of our people (That is if you are)

Whilst I lived in the UK, every tax penny of mine that was spent on the war in Afghanistan weighed heavy on my soul.

I find it bizarre that the killing machine and the charities can come out of the same country, both allegedly have the "interests of the Afghan people" at heart.

            Doesn't make the slightest sense.

when you are a superpower and spending 40percent of the worlds military budget on your own Armed forces you are able to do things like that, Especially considering the GDP of the You.S.A is either greater then or equal to the GDP of Europe COMBINED.
