scimitarXedge, sounds like he would make a good politician. he seems to have a balanced view and approaches debates, usually, in a calm manner. it would be difficult though for good/fair minded people to tolerate the bs that they'd have to put up with, along the way to positive achievements.

Main thing is NEVER TO COMPROMISE with evil.
Almost no politicians anywhere would go along with that, however.

That is the simple problem as to why the US - and the world -
get so many sleazy types running for office.

Must not accept a penny from AIPAC or Jewish organizations.
      Not a dinero!

Must oppose Israel vocally or if can't then keep quiet and
don't wear those little beanies and speak to Jewish organizations.
Neither should the person be seen or photographed at the so called
      wailing wall in Jerusalem.

No catering to expectations of anybody.
      Stay with the truth only.

A guy like david duke has mentioned he would run for US President.
Actually a lot of Americans would support him if he got out the message
      better.

So it's possible to adhere to some of these restrictions I have said.

Must be a family man - more important than any education.
look at all the adulterers in recent years: Mark Sanford of South Carolina
for example who was being looked at as presidential material til his liasion
was found out with a LAL - Latin American Lover...or John Edwards, etc.

Most American men as others too run for office out of desperate need for
public accolades and massive attention of the public, with constant applause, interviews etc.
      They feed on this.

The critical element is a SECURE personality.
      Almost no one has that.
Muslims often have that because they are SURE of their religion.
But they are not running for office in America.

The question was not about America, but since America sets the
world model for politicians, I am using this example.

In a country without electoral "democracy" there is no need for politicians.

In that case, people are - hopefully - dignified public servants.

Not as in America and the West, immature individuals acting out their
childhood wishes for adulation by the crowds.

PS I'm actually for a religious govt, made up of RESPONSIBLE, MATURE,
        WISE clerics and their supporters.

I don't think laymen who don't have a deep appreciation of God
        should be running a govt.

Those in govt MUST be aware that it's God's Will that needs to be
        accomplished.
        Not the notions of humans.

So a deep religious faith is more important than education by far.

Education is OK. But passing exams and getting degrees only shows that
the individual is capable of a certain level of work.
It doesn't reveal the extent of their KNOWLEDGE because little of a general nature is asked of them when specializing in their field.

This leads to the point that a public official should have a broad
experience and understanding of the rest of the world outside
        one's own borders!

This is a crucial in America: there is such ignorance and worse, lack of curiosity about anybody else and THEIR ways. Much less a wish to learn better ideas
        about to approach life.

So the blinkered approach of "America is always right" or "The West has the BEST of everything" is a huge deficit in any public official.

That person needs to be open to better ways.

Older societies have figured out how to live much better than
        modern, stressed-out, hyped up America.

A little humility is necessary therefore toward
        more rich civilizations and cultures.

I didn't answer appearance, but they must look DIGNIFIED
            and in control of themselves.

The faces of most American presidents and top officials are
            usually frightening to look at.
The soul who has sold out to worldly or even dark forces
            is easy to see.

Therefore a good official will look respectable, neat, clean
but not overdone - like Bill Clinton's overly manicured hair style.

The person needs to seem natural and relaxed, not always playing a role
            of Mr Nice Guy.

And yes, they should be fit due to the rigors of travel and meeting people, which can be draining. So they need some way of rejuvenating which is healthy and natural, like a sport.

Most all politicians DRINK - and badly.
[Same with journalists and editors - it's endemic in that profession too.]
