  • Thoughts on Hizb ut Tahrir???

I support the basic idealogy but don't know enough about the movement. Since we have educated members on this forum I think asking you guys about this movement would be wise. So what do you think about them?
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Another one who runs its splinter group in Uk (islam4uk) is a Punjabi Anjum Choudry who is also one of the founders of Almuhajiroon.

yeah that's true too; but one of the reason they splintered is because of Anjem Choudry's extremism.

Bakri founded Al-Muhajiroun in Mecca, Saudi Arabia on 3 March 1983 following "the 59th anniversary of the destruction of the Ottoman Caliphate," in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. According to Bakri, the Hizb ut-Tahrir leadership did not accept the group. As such, Bakri established Al-Muhajiroun independently from Hizb ut-Tahrir.[11]

              Hizb-ut-Tahreer

Founder: Taqi'udeen An-Nabhani, Azhar graduate son of the famous Shafi Naqshbandi scholar Yusuf an-Nabhani.

Yusuf an-Nabhani is a famous Sufi scholar and was a Qadi (judge) in the Ottoman period.

I can paste some discussions on Hizbut Tahreer from Bangladeshi forums.

However for now suffice to say, I believe they are unrealistic, have a flawed understanding of history presenting it in very simplistic terms. They also belittle the spiritual aspects of the deen and unknowingly/knowingly have Arab nationalism in their ideology.

Also they tend to belittle any other group of Muslims not in their organization and downplay the practical benefits these groups help to provide.
