If you engage them further it may harm your own imaan as God has put blessing into his advice. It will also be an act of mercy and love towards them because it will keep them from uttering more and more malignant speech. Moreover, utilizing these ayaahs allows God, in whose hands is the soul of Muhammad (S) himself, to answer for you and his messenger. Who better to answer these folks in this act of collective intellectual resistance than God himself?

“Leave alone those who take their religion to be mere play and amusement, and are deceived by the life of this world. but proclaim (to them) this (truth): that every soul delivers itself to ruin by its own acts: it will find for itself no protector or intercessor except God; if it offered every ransom, (or reparation), none will be accepted: such is (the end of) those who deliver themselves to ruin by their own acts: they will have for drink (only) boiling water, and for punishment, one most grievous: for they persisted in rejecting God (surah 6 verse 70).”
“If thou dost question them, they declare (with emphasis): ‘we were only talking idly and in play." say: "was it at Allah, and his signs, and his messenger, that ye were mocking?’ (Surah 9 verse 65)”
“When thou seest men engaged in vain discourse about Our Signs, turn away from them unless they turn to a different theme. If Satan ever makes thee forget, then after recollection, sit not thou in the company of those who do wrong (surah 6 verse 68)”.

When they retort with the words of their own attempting to claim that they were appealing to your intellect or to simply engage you in a fruitful debate, give them, once again, words from the one that knows how to answer best:

“Of the people there are some who say: "We believe in Allah and the Last Day" but they do not (really) believe. Fain would they deceive Allah and those who believe, but they only deceive themselves, and realize (it) not! In their hearts is a disease; and Allah has increased their disease and grievous is the penalty they (incur), because they are false (to themselves). (Surah 2 verses 8-10).

Simply repeat this action over and over without even glossing your own words into it and this act of Civil disobedience will save them and you and clean up the forum quiet a bit. Now you are armed to deal with them.

How does this answer my questions?! And besides that: is your self-esteem as a Muslim so low that you actually try to convince me and others that your religion is "the only true one" only because qorhan says so? Excuse me but I don’t believe in that book….i have read it and find it full of contradiction…today almost all scholars generally agree that neither the Quran is something special (in fact, it is a poor copy of much older Christian hymns known as "qeryana" in Aramaic) nor is the Arab culture anything special. But you will not understand….all science and scholarship are "tools of evil". And those who follow rational science and believe in human intelligence are "dumb and blind", "slaves of the evil world". Nothing is good about the western world ... except the welfare programs which were "created by Allah the Almighty for the God-fearing Muslims".

For those who are interested in real history (= history that can be proven by archaeological findings and real scientific evidence), read THIS book:

Keep repeating….cut and paste the Sura over and over…im very happy to have such an expert on Islam in this forum. Maybe you could answer me two questions, because so far, I was not able to find any satisfying answers.

                    1) in Sura 43:77, a creature with the name of "Malik" is mentioned. Apparently that creature "lives" in "Jahannam", but there is no explanation. It is a great mystery. Maybe you could help us.

                    2) in the Quran, Jesus is constantly titled "Messiah". Why?! If Jesus is the "Messiah", how can there be any prophet after him?! I am confused!

                    Thank you for your help!

                      Assalam-Alaikum Parsiwaan,

It appears to me as if you did not take my previous warning to you seriously. Good bye, and good luck finding a better forum. I hope you can review your negative attitude.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Next time she should have the text memorized somewhat so she can glance up maybe half the time at various places of the crowd. Otherwise they don't feel included and become restless.

                                ^ GYE is MUCH better!

                                THAT's why.
The secret has been successfully contained by such coercive tactics that probably few outside the country realize the true feeling of the people toward both occupiers and Taliban.

I still can't believe she kept harping on how bad the Taliban are.

I didn't expect that she would be strong enough or foolish enough to stand up and say "Hey the Taliban aren't so bad as you audience have been led to believe". That would be refreshing but many Afghans must be afraid to breathe such words in public in the West, too, despite the vaunted Free Speech here.

                                So the question is:
WHERE did her opinion originate ?
Is this a case of lack of contact with the homeland ?
Or is it something more disturbing?

Is the group kind of connected to some effort of some agency? I don't REALLY believe that.

But her propaganda against those who are trying to free up the country is too emphatic.

If she really wants the war to end quickly, then surely she has to be cognizant that the West is most unlikely to withdraw unilaterally due to the videos of Afghans For Peace.

It only will be pushed out by the unified efforts of Afghans to show that ISAF is not welcome on THEIR turf !

So best to not sabotage other opponents to this war. She should keep quiet on that point.
That is what makes me raise an eyebrow.

It's either that or she's just ignorant. Maybe Mullah Omar's representatives could invite her group's representatives to come meet with some of the local people to see for themselves who the fighters are and how the population feels about them.

Obviously some are disenchanted. There are some fake Taliban obviously.

But as I found myself back in former days, one cannot rely on Western news reporting : one MUST go in person to see for oneself what is true and what is not.
