I can't view the video but if the title of the thread refers to afghanistan then its a pretty accurate analogy.

Grave yard of empires is also the grave yard of pashtoons. Its not like the pashtoons are the masters of their destiny and in mighty battles have killed the enemy. They kill by mutual self destruction, actually by exclusive self destruction these days.

technically pashtuns are buried there so we do have graveyards with pashtuns burried.Originally posted by Baygham View PostGrave yard of empires is also the grave yard of pashtoons. but the term here has nothing to do with that

I was afraid to watch the clip because the face looked so cruel.
But it turned out what gave me a terrible feeling was the Reuters or whoever it was announcing about the American invasion.
I'd like to see the Russian movie.
I would wager a guess it's
9 goda, which means
9 years
Same as America's stay...

Yes. With subtitles it's great.
Although maybe those were added by the producers of this
Judging from the use of Khorasan in the title, I slyly suggest this was produced by 'Friends of the Islamic Emirate' !
The last part was funny when the fighter confidently challenges the West to bring 2 Million troops. I had to laugh.

Interesting share. I like his Russian dialect, it sounded so serious. Especially when he said "No one has never conquered them".Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.
A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

^ Do you speak Russian, Admin Khan?
It's true the acting was good.
Another point is that the Russians themselves are still mentally processing their Afghan experience. They have websites where they share memories and experiences at that time. I know because I saw one of my articles about the Russian soldier's experience in Afghanistan being discussed in one.
Whereas, i betcha Americans will say "out of sight, out of mind". There will be few if any films made about their venture.
russians are very introspective and retrospective.
Americans care about the future only and shrug off the past.
That's my observation.
