Toramana, Is it me or did he say "do kisam kai Pukhtoon paida keya" as opposed to what the subtitles said?
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

He said "Allah nay do kisam ka makhloq paida kiya, aik Insan aawr aik Pathan"...This is a common Punjabi joke about Pashtuns.

I think we at PF should send a strong response to Imran Khan as well as Hamid Gul...both these representatives of the Pujab...Tor Khan, Roshina, Gulalai, Pir Rokhan, etc. can help us write the letter...

I absolutely agree Toramana. Amir Al Ghaznavi, from what I have seen, also has great skills. You should PM them and get something together. We must voice our distaste.

Don't people claim he is a Pashtun himself?

He at times makes dubious claims of Pashtuns as common with people in Punjab and other parts of India but I don't know whether that is authentic or not...

Imran khan said this one month ago at our college while inaugurating of imran khan welfare organization AMC.
After his speech, while talking with my classfellows, i condemned imran khan for encouraging of pashtuns in the form of talibans...they started counter-arguements, outcome was nothing.

Actually, they know very well how to exploit Pashtun sentiment i.e. they pat Pashtuns on the back calling them brave, courageous etc. when they need to use Pashtuns as the canon-fodder...But when their purpose is fulfilled from Pashtuns, they then call them barbarians, specie, etc.

The ape-minded Pashtuns fall for their propaganda...The other sensible Pashtuns can discern sincere appreciation from emotional exploitation.

dont be put off by what someone else said or what your family is or was. Be what you want a be and be proud of what ever that is. Otherwise is a waste of energy.
Most of us in pakhtunkhwa were fooled one time or another, hell my dad could be classified as a bonafide mulla, so what. He was a proud pakhtoon, and his mullatoob, I have forgiven, he did not know better.

Did you miss the part where Gul said he loved the afghans? He is in praise of them for having a back-bone, their love of azadi, unlike other pakis.
