  • The State of Schools in Swat

Do we curse the darkness, or light a candle? It is so important to do anything we can to help. Thank you for sharing this video. Greg Mortenson's work is helping, villagers working together for something they believe in. Check out the Three Cups of Tea also Pennies for Peace

Getting children involved in the West, is a great way of teaching philanthropy to those living in a place where life is better. Once after I gave a presentation, a young boy maybe about 6 years old walked up to me, and gave me his lunch money and asked me to give it to the children in Pakistan. Children have a heart for others who suffer. This should be encouraged.

There are so many ways we can make a difference, whether we are here or there.

Malgariya, it is not true that the people of Swat accepted the Taliban with open arms. This is a total fabrication. The Pakistani state and the Pakistani Army abandoned the people of Swat and did not provide them with protection and security against these murderers which is the basic obligation of a state for two whole years. This whole Swat episode was no fault of the people of Swat, none at all.

As said in the report the militants blew up almost all the schools of Swat and some were got destroyed by the Army shelling in Swat.

Now the operation is over an year ago and there comes the responsibility of the provincial as well as Federal government to re-build Swat's schools. And both the govts are very busy in handling their own personal issues and I've got no expectations from them.

The govt should take steps and re-build the schools, as this is their responsibility but I doubt if they can do this. As most of the MNA's and MPA's are not even visiting their hometowns so how can we expect such things from them. A shame for the govt.

M16, This is not a topic why operation took place and all the ****. So you need to discuss what's there in the topic. Don't deviate from the topic please, I can answer all what you said but I believe there are other threads for that purpose where you can go and as usual blame Punjab, stay blessed

Actually they did welcome the Talibans but when they saw what those mercy less people did to their homes, schools and hospitals they woke up from their dream of Shariaah and Islam.

The Pakistan Army which is suppose to be a strong and modern army could not block or jam a radio that was made in the 70's, but the Pakistan Army can jam mobile phones in DI Khan and Tank for a nearly over a year.
Totally technical question about the possibilities. If some thing is working inside your house I need to come inside to shut it down I can't shut it down from outside. This is simple logic, and the time till the FM was working there was no Army action, ANP was dealing with the matter through talks. Though as I said technical question some body can only give a satisfactory answer if he knows about it

          Pakistan and Taliban=Bhai Bhai.
Pakistan's relationship with Talibans of Swat?
Wait a second, By Pakistan you mean the govt? You mean the ANPiers who were killed and tortured by the same Talibans? Or you mean the ISI/Army whose soldiers were killed by the vary same Talibans?

When the ISI officials gave this statement about Baitullah and Fazullah ??

The pakistan army even under mushraff accepted taliban shariat in swat and mohammad sufi was made the emir of swat by pakistan government.

Dont be deceived by pakistan media propaghanda about pakistan army saving the people of swat.
This is really something to laugh at, OK!
You are partially right in saying that 'The only reason Pak Army did operation is Swat is because Swat Talibans abused the peace agreement and went further .. beyond their boundaries'

Now saying that Punjab was at risk? Are you sure Army does operations only when Punjab is at risk? Whatever you are saying doesn't make any sense. Sufi Muhammad Not Muhammad Sufi, and he was brought out so that he can work as a bridge b/w the Talibans and the govt officials and they can sought out the solution through talks..
And what you think about the attacks in Lahore, forget the past what about the current attacks on Data Gang Baksh shrine, IF Talibans are controlled by Army and Army just want to secure Punjab than why will they allow the Talibans controlled by them to do attacks in Punjab. For your information Taliban did said that they did those blasts at the shrine in Lahore.

          Dont think iam so naive.

Pakistan Army can jam a whole district of their communications

but they couldnt jam a soviet era radio used by mullah fazullah

when mumbai attacks happened ur own pakistani officials called fazullah and baitullah patrotic pakistanis.

Pakistan accepted taliban shariat in Swat but only took action because the agreement was abused because fazullah group went into bunar close to Punjab Hira Mandi.

I never taught that you are naive, I just said that this thread is for the purpose of schools of Swat. My opinion about that is already there about the topic.

Couldn't jam and couldn't jam, my dear the tower for the FM was inside Swat and Army was out of Swat they did destroyed that FM didn't they?
Pakistan accepted, yes and did you know how much happy the local Swatians were after the peace agreement? Have you any idea about that. The situation was out of control when people like Sufi Muhammad started pointing their fingers towards the Supreeme Court etc, etc.. !!

So just don't twist words !!
