PM okays Rs50m for Burn Unit at HMC
PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has approved Rs50 million for the establishment of Burn Unit at the Hayatabad Medical Complex, Peshawar.
The prime minister okayed this during a meeting with Federal Minister for Communications Dr Arbab Alamgir Khan Khalil and PPP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa women wing President Asma Arbab Alamgir, stated a press release issued here Monday.
The PM also accepted the invitation by the minister to visit Chitral. During the meeting, the PM was apprised of the problems being faced by the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially Peshawar.
The prime minister assured the approval of ample funds for the uplift of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Peshawar. Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Communications Dr Arbab Alamgir Khan Khalil said that the PPP government was fully aware of the problems of the people and trying to overcome all problems inherited from the previous dictatorial regime.
The minister said that whenever he had a chance to meet the prime minister or the president, he has always talked over the uplift and development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Peshawar.
On the occasion, advisor to the prime minister, Asma Arbab Alamgir, said that Dr Arbab Alamgir Khan Khalil has devoted his whole life for the wellbeing and progress of the people of Peshawar and their meeting with the prime minister has been very fruitful in this regard, adding that the prime minister was also determined for uplift of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
