Officials in the Afghan Ministry of Public Work said on Sunday that 36km railway with the donation of Turkmenistan will be built in northern Afghanistan

The railway will connect Aqina harbor with Andkhoy district in the country's northern Faryab province.

The Afghan Ministry of Public Work said the government is planning to start the survey of the 36km railway soon that will connect Afghanistan with the Turkmenistan railway network in Central Asia that finally ends in Europe.
The president of Turkmenistan has pledged the donation of Aqina - Andkhoy railway, Ahmad Shah Wahid, the Financial and Administrative Deputy of the Ministry of Public Work said in an exclusive interview with TOLOnews.

According to the Ministry of Public Work, the newly planned railway is part of the 126km long railway network that will start from Turkmenistan's Karki town entering Afghanistan through Aqina border and then extends 36km into Afghanistan to Andkhoy district.

"Turkmenistan has taken the responsibility for the survey, design and the construction of this railway and a group of technicians will be gathered to start the work of this railway soon," Mr Wahid said.

The Afghan Ministry of Public Work cited the construction of Aqina - Andkhoy railway network effective in boosting trade relations, as said it will help grow the Afghan economy, and thus Afghanistan will gain access to Caspian sea and the European countries.

          as for the topic

Good news: I get really happy for every little development that happens in Afghanistan.

There are major, major developments taking place in south and north... Kandahar province has seen alot of development under Karzai government... despite all the odds the city is flourishing... Karzais are putting alot of effort in developing their home town! lol

the only place that is a junk yard still is Kabul LOLLL!... its a melting pot now... people have poured in the same from all around Afghanistan...

the real Kabulis will have a heart attach if they go back and see their Kabul Jaan hahaha...
