My childhood best friend was a Hazara. I tell you one thing is that these people love Afghanistan more than, if not just as much as, a Pashtun does.

Him and his brother use to go out and find Iranians that used to speak smack about Afghans and then to bash their heads.

1992 really hurt Afghan internal politics.

The problems that Pashtun have caused Afghanistan the Hazaras do not even come close to. Even if you were to look at it from a population ratio aspect.
Islam will prevail, a promise made by the Creator of this universe:

[61:8] They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with the breath of their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, even if the disbelievers hate it.

[61:9] He it is Who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the Religion of truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religions, even if those who associate partners with God hate it.

I am a Tajik. I love Afghanistan, I love Pashtuns. My husband is a Pashtun. I am now learning Pashto from my husband. We love this nation of ours.

My request from those members are to stop turning everything into Pashtun this and Pashtun that and etc. Afghanistan is majority Pashtun country, but we also have other ethnic groups whom love Afghanistan and will give their life for the country. Whether the Army, Commanders, Head of State and etc are non-Pashtun it won't matter to most of us as long as they are defending Afghanistan and its people.

So my request is to stop generalizing everything and stop the hatred.

I don't know about other Afghan members of this forum, but I see myself as Pashtun, Tajik,Hazara, Uzbek, Turkmen and etc. I will defend each one of these groups because we are all Afghans. Period!!!!

Afghanistan's Army in the past had majority non-Pashtuns as it does today. The only difference is that in the past we head the Generals from Paktia, but today we have mixture of them. I would careless as long as they are doing their job and moving the country towards stability and prosperity.

There are two types of group living in Afghanistan and outside of Afghanistan. One group is filled with hatred and racism and the other group is filled with unity, love, respect, and proudness.

Those that are filled with racism and hatred are small minority in Afghanistan. They see themselves as superior to any other race and believe the world should be controled by them.

Most of these people are refugees that had come to Afghanistan from the Northern Regions of Afghanistan which was historically known as "Bukhara." While their parents and grandparents had respect for the Afghan nation and their leaders their children are igniting hatred and racism inside and outside of Afghanistan.

Don't allow these individuals give you the wrong impression about the majority. Many non-Pashtuns speak Pashto as well and believe me when I say this today more speak Pashto than the past. In the past most of these people were forced, but today they are willingly learning Pashto.

Afghanistan is slowly moving to the right direction, but it will be painfully but it will happen Inshallah.

Also thanks for the great remark

If you were a girl, i would have gone over to you and gave you a hug

              thats pretty inspiring.

              Pashtuns are smart people.

Dr A.Q khan *founder of nuclear Pakistan* just a small example.

Too bad , he is working for a bad goal .

But if opportunity is given we can outsmart rest of the world.

wrora i have no doubt about pashtuns abiity to acheive a lot... especially the women are very smart but they lack opportunity in Afghanistan... they are not encouraged to study or take up big posts...

I am really glad to hear about your sisters mashAllah... and i wish for the whole Pashtun community to have the same attitude in regards to educating their own women...

I have a very inspiring story to share... it happened just yesterday... and by no mean i want to paint a rosy picture... i do admit that there are exceptions and there are people that are racist in every ethnic group in Afghanistan...but majority of the people share the same sentiment... they all want to be able to live together without any difference...

Yesterday my family decided to visit the park in the evening... it was already late and we didn't take any food with us... we just wanted to go walk around and then come back... us and our neighbor went together... we were sitting on a bench near another gathering that was apparantly celebrating their kid's birthday... they looked like a typical afghan family with lots of kids and lots of food lol... one of the lady looked at us two three times and then said something to another lady standing next to her... finally she came close... asked my mom "afghan astain" are you afghan... my mom said "bale" yes.... we got it that they are not pashtoon because they were speaking dari.... so she told my mom come join us... all of you... we resisted alot and said no thank but she wouldn't hear anything... she practically pulled each one us to her party... she kept saying u are our afghan how can u just sit there and not join us... so we finally went to their party... oh the hospitality... bring tea, bring food, each one of them came to us to greet us... each one of them offering food... we were amazed... then i noticed that amongst them there are guests who are speaking pashto...

Finally i asked the oldest lady where she was from in Afghanistan... she said "kunduz" and the other said "tashqurghaan" the other said something else in Shamali, basically they were uzbak... they told me "you must be from kandahar or you must be pashtoon" ... i said why do you say that; she said you have a little accent in Dari and u look pashtoon... we all laughed and i told them yes I am actually from wardak and mom kandahari... we are all pashtoon... that was the end of discussion about ethnicity... we went back to normal chit chat...

their pashtoon guests came and greeted us in pashto and we all sat together

we had an awesome time with them... they went their way and we came home... happy and inspired

^ Not really, some Afghans have really lost it as well but in real life it's by far isn't as bad considering the Afghans in West. I also had an Uzbek friend and only time we talked about ethnic was when her father said he had a very good friend from Laghman but never got chance to learn Pukhto from him. That's it. And this is the wish, to keep the issues of ethnic very limited only.

most of the women working for the kuffaar in afghanistan are secularists. And unfortunately many hazaras and other minorities are infected with secularism.

Shame on anyone who is this judgmental and anyone who supports this nonsense.

Chin Japan di? They are more Afghan -AND more Pashtun for that matter - than MANY of you folks ever will be. Why you ask? Because, while you sit at home and do internet-siyaasat behind your monitor and judging people based on aspects they have absolutely no control over, these women actually get up and do something for their country. They are the daughters of Malalai and Nazo, what have you done?

"Tajik" looks di ham da Khola ter di, ham di pa Sar sarbera di. Who are you? What kind of God-sent, pure and perfect piece of blessing do you take yourself for? Are you laughing at how they look or at how God has made them? Tobah wakajha, Sal Tobeh wakajha. And WITH you all those who go around preaching Islam and find themselves incapable of refraining from mocking and ridiculing people based upon their looks for even an instant.

                                Shame, Shame, Shame.
