Peshawar—In order to overcome the shortage of drinking water supply in the community of Chasmai of FR Bannu, the Political Administration of FR Bannu has completed a drinking water supply system, benefiting approximately 4000 individuals of the local area.
The people of this locality had been facing an acute shortage of drinking water for a long time. The project was completed by constructing three 10,000 gallon surface tanks and installed 2940 meters of distribution pipeline, renovating the current water system.
Chasmai village is located in the volatile north-eastern part of FR Bannu, inhabited by the Ahmad Zai Wazir tribe.
According to a press release issued on Tuesday by the Directorate of Information FATA, the Political Administration FR Bannu had issued orders for the provision of a water supply facility, to ensure round the clock provision at the request of the elders of the Chasmai, FR Bannu.
The government is giving maximum priority to those projects that improve living conditions, including water, health and sanitation systems. The press release added that the Political Administration has completed this project in a short period of time.—APP
