Rs 1.4 billion bridge project to be initiated in Khushal Garh Kohat
Islamabad—A meeting was chaired by the Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, regarding the construction of New Khushal Garh Bridge near Kohat in Khyber PakhtunKhwa. As a result of the proactive persuasion by Syed Naveed Qamar, The Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural resources, it was agreed that MOL Pakistan and OGDCL, the two operators of TAL, Chanda and Mela Joint Ventures (JVs), would extend a loan of PKR 700million (50% of the cost of new bridge) to NHA for the construction of new bridge at Khushal Garh.
The bridge would be constructed on a fast track basis within a period of twenty seven (27) months since the award of contract which is to be done by first (1st) week of November 2010. Signing ceremony of the tripartite agreement among OGDCL, MOL Pakistan and NHA, for extending the loan of PKR 700million, would be held at OGDCL Auditorium in the presence of Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural resources and Federal Minister for Communications on October 14, 2010.
Ground breaking ceremony of the new bridge would be held on November 15, 2010 at the site.
