Construction of the road started in 2006 and is being funded by Italy.
In the first phase, a 24-kilometre road costing 36 million euros connects Maidan Shahr, the provincial capital, with Oanai Pass. More than 75 percent of first phase has so far been completed.
The second and last phase, 82 kilometres of road connecting Bamyan City with Oanai Pass would be carried out by an Iranian construction company.
Public Works Minister Abdul Qudoos Hamidi and Muhammad Raza Hussaini, the owner of the Iranian form, Abadrahan Paris, was signed on Saturday.
Hamidi said that the second phase would take three years to complete at a cost of 55 million euros.
He said 358 bridges and a 2,994-metre long supporting wall would also be constructed along the road.
