  • New School Building In Kunar Province

Yesterday, Afghanistan’s Ministry of Education issued a press release that Afghan officials have opened a new school building for the Hashim Zamani Middle School in Afghanistan’s eastern province of Kunar. According to the release, funding for the project was provided by the United Nations at a cost of US $47,000, and it took 6 months for the construction to be completed. The new school building has 8 classrooms, 4 administrative rooms, 6 bathrooms and other essentials needed for the day to day running of the school. The new school will meet the educational needs of about 400 students.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Yeah alhamdillullah i have noticed that slowly and slowly more schools are being developed there. My mother told me how before families were scared to send their kids to school before because of the security.

Do you both know if more developments are happening for hospitals and clinics?

Okay let me know when you do

In Laghman, my cousins make their own electricity. What they do is, build an underground tunnel that has the water coming from Laghman River. They provide the electricity for my whole village

I am sure this will also work for Kunar too. Kunar also has a river, and its really thick. So i am sure there is plenty of water to at least provide electricity for some of the villages.

The schools in Kunar also need heating, since it gets really cool weather there.
