A central building for border police has been inaugurated in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said Tuesday.
The project was funded by the United States and completed in two years. The building, which has the capacity to hold 100 police at one time, has 15 rooms as well as a canteen, offices, depot and garrison.
The cost of the project is $5 million, funded by the US, border police commander in the east, Gen. Mohammad Zaman Mamozi, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
However, he criticized the location of the building as he said it was an easy target for militants.
