The news is based on what he wrote about himself on his own Facebook page. There is no indication of where he was declared top. At which competition? Where is his paper?

How can we find out more about his work and achievement?

There are many Afghan scientists who publish scientific papers in journals. They get awards and praise from fellow scientists. But sadly, they are not personal friends of Pashtun nationalist Pajhwok journalists and Ashraf Ghanj fanboys. That's why most afghans never hear about them.

^Shut your whining. I have been observing him and his achievements while he was a student and far before he won this position or ashraf Ghani came in to the picture in Afghanistan. You just can't digest the fact that unlike you, someone put his life to actual use in that country.

You project your own negativity on others and assume everyone is like you.

I know him and his friends from Facebook. I know about him and his career.

He is just as fake as Ashraf Ghani with his "worlds second greatest thinker" title.

He got his PHD and a few other awards from German institutions. There are many other Afghans who are proffessors and lecturers in Germany and other Western countries.

The only reason why Tanha gets all the attention from the media is because he is on Ghani's team. Otherwise he would have been ignored like other scientists.

Do you even know what negative means?? Negative is someone who discredits others and undermines their achievements. Negative is someone who posts mental health clinic addresses in response to those he is in disagreement with during a conversation. Negative is the idiot who can't take pleasure in seeing others succeed because apparently they are getting more attention than his imaginary friends that he brags of being equally capable but won't utter the names off.
Donkey like mentalities like yours disable you from being happy for him or his success because he happens to be a supporter of Ghani. His achievement doesn't outweigh your disagreement over a preference for a political leader.

Instead of carrying so much filthy in your heart, try opening a thread for these other scientists that you know of who are not getting the credit that they are entitled to. We will all celebrate them because tey are afghans and that is what Afghanistan needs. Go on. I dare you.

You won't. Because you can very well tolerate seeing the afghan youth turning in to isis or Taliban fighters but you can't tolerate the sight of a single one of them achieving something worthwhile.

My kitty litter box is more positive than you have ever been in the entire course of your lifetime. Idiot.

I am being positive when I respond to your regular rants with links to mental help clinics. I am being helpful and caring. I show compassion and concern for your well being. Those are positive traits in my book.

I am being critical and skeptic when I pose questions, express doubts about what I see on the news. thats a positive trait in my book.

You are being an idiot but we should stop talking about you since you seem to be already full of yourself plenty as it appears.
Let's talk about these others that you claim are just as talented but are not getting the recognition they deserve. Clearly that is the right thing to do so why don't you be a good champ and name them so we can all appreciate them and celebrate their success together as afghans. Go on.. Don't be shy. Who are they?? Do they even exist or were you talking about your imaginary friends??

You want to be compassionate, stop acting like an idiot. My insomnia kicks in whenever I end up having numerous encounters with ignorance and stupidity.

Scientists are not football players. They don't need the praise and glory of non scientists. For scientists, acknowledgement from their peers is sufficient.

Why would I want to post threads praising every individual Afghan who is succesful as a scientist? That's exactly why I am being critical of the groupie love you are giving to Tanha.

Because we need to encourage them. Because the afghans need role models and some hope in their lives. Because we want to congratulate them on their achievements and because we want to motivate them further. The **** sort of a stupid question was that??

If anything, it's the football players that do not deserve the sort of support and praise that they get from brainless zombies like you.

Fair point. I agree. We need to encourage them and they do serve as role models.

Now, why is Tanha singled out? There are at least 50 other Adghan scientists I can think of who can serve as role models. Why isn't RFE and Pajhwok reporting about their achievements?

My guess is: Tanha is politically tied to Ghani. That's why he is being singled out for praise.

Because networking is important and maybe because they have people like you around them. Talent alone is not going to take anyone anywhere. People need to have communication skills and a proper league of support. I have asked for their names and their achievements five times already and I still don't have an answer. Anyone else would have said **** it a long time ago.

You are right. Tanha is very skillful in promoting himself on Facebook. Other scientists need to learn from him.

I am not going to give you any names. If you are a reader of scientific journals, you will find many names of Afghans, including tribal names.

If a journalist or a person interested in promoting Afghan scientist wants to find them, he/she won't have to do allot of effort. They are quite easy to find.
