Lmao...Originally posted by Toramana View PostWhy is Guley bringing up Islam/Arabism in every thing and using this site as a propaganda forum for fundamentalist/extremist organization like Islamic Relief Agency?
God knows, Guley definitely isn't using the religion of her race, to help her people, I mean it's not like the Pashtun race are Muslim or anything. Oh Dear Lord no, she definitely decided to quote the Qur'an to promote 'Arabism'.
Only the most intelligent could've spotted that, kudos to you old chap!
Now back to the topic...
At least Pekhavar's not too bad. =/

Islam isn't a mandatory requirement for someone to be a Pashtun. True Pashtuns are mostly Mulslims but the religious aspect of their personal and collective lives is mundane and cultural and doesn't carry the kind of Islamo-fascism/fanaticism that characterizes the social/cultural attitude of some West/Britian-bred Islamists on this forum.Originally posted by Guley View PostLmao...

Also, recently, Pashtun society has become more diversified religiously with presence of such groups and individuals as as Budhists, Christians, athiests, agnostics, etc.
Is philonthropy not possible without an appeal to the religious (rather the Islamic) sentiments of people? Is Islam really "absolutely necessary" for such an undertaking or are these the tactics of extremist orgs to lure innocent victims of a disastor to their radical cause?to help her people, I mean it's not like the Pashtun race are Muslim or anything.
You could have made an appeal in the name of humanity or Pashtunwali. Philanthropist/aid work doesn't need a specific religious or cultural label then why are you promoting IRA knowing that in the past fundo orgs have adversely harmed Pashtuns with such tactics. They have pushed them into such a disarray.Oh Dear Lord no, she definitely decided to quote the Qur'an to promote 'Arabism'.
It is unfortunate that Islamist thoughts are usually pre-occupied with the vigour of young ghilman from Jannah and bring such things into discussions.Only the most intelligent could've spotted that, kudos to you old chap!Last edited by Toramana; 08-04-2010, 05:59 AM.

Salaam,Originally posted by MazloomYarMasud View PostI guess being a Hindko makes you part of no tribe.
I basically said that why do you guys always bring up quates from the quran. Cant you just be honest enuff and say Help our Pashtuns only instead of islamising everything to do with pashtuns
This is the problem with you Enlighten ones, you always try to insult others as being tribals or so. Plus I dont speak that street language typical of most Pakistanis. I speak Normal English.
Kind Regards
I realize I'm the newbie here but respected brother, Islam is a complete way of life. It's not very nice to downplay the Qur'an. It's Allah (SWT)'s will which makes us honest. Islamization is a heavy measure taken by many radicals of the Islamic world in an attempt to hijack our beautiful & peaceful deen in order for them to further their politcal agendas. While I'm happy to read the honesty and sincerety in your post and that of many others, it's important to respect Qur'an and not downplay it by any means. We are Muslims, our first duty is to Islam not tribes, ethnicity, or race thus our respect should also be to Islam as it is within the scope of Islam that we walk the path of goodness. The main foundation of Islam is based on harms vs benefits. Any act where its harms outweight the benefit is strictly forbidden. If we downplay the Qur'an, let's say regularly, then it's possible for us to fall from the path of Islam.
I hope you don't mind my few words. You may be older so, I hope that neither you nor anyone else take my few heartful words as a negative step. I mean well.

PS....GREAT POST! A VERY WORTHY CAUSE.
I HOPE EVERYONE PARTICIPATES IN DOING WHATEVER LITTLE THEY CAN. I AGREE WITH SENDING HELP VIA SOMEONE TRUSTWORTHY. THERE ARE TOO MANY SICK PEOPLE IN THE WORLD WHO WILL TAKE FOOD OFF THE PLATE OF AN ORPHAN TO FEED HIMSELF WITH SO HE CAN KEEP HIS OWN MONEY IN HIS OWN POCKET.
MAY ALLAH (SWT) HELP OUR SUFFERING BROTHERS, SISTERS, FATHERS, MOTHERS, GRANDPARENTS, AND CHILDREN EVERYWHERE, AMEEN!

Khadi paak de khair darkri. I hope and pray that all of our brothers and sisters here help our suffering Pukhtunkhwa and Afghanistan one way or another.Originally posted by TimbaktuAs many have mentioned, the best way is to send money directly to your relatives of someone your trust there on the ground. Its a more effective way and faster.
The aid agencies and other charities have too much beauracracy going on and alot of money is used to run the charity rather than help the needy.
our relatives have collected some money and decided to send 2/3 to pakhtunkhwa and 1/3 to Eastern Afghanistan.
I think this is the best way.

One can not imagine the havoc unleashed by the flood in Pakhtunkhwa.I was engaged in the rehabilitation task for the last 10 days and I have seen unforgetable and moving scenes of the devastation with my own eyes.Every thing has been washed away in the gushing water. Respectable families are streching hands for charity. Come forward to help them!
