  • Almond milk industry

Afghanistan is a huge source of almonds, and the almond milk production is a growing industry. Many of the current companies such as Silk buy their almonds from the international market. It would be better for some Afghan companies to make the almond milk instead of selling the almonds raw to third parties.

I agree! Cut out the middle man, and produce a very nutritious lactose free milk substitute!

Yes, its funny I was also thiniking about this a couple of times now. Afghans make so much almonds and soya beans, we can set up our own companies to produce this....I also heard it is also a quite easy process to produce almond milk or even yoghurt from almonds...

Absolutely! It is simple... and I don't know if you have done the research but it only takes like 28g of almonds, water, and whatever additives the company decides for flavor and what not... The cost is much less per an 8oz bottle than what the stores charge ($3.99 USD and up)... Could be very profitable!

so much good quality almonds are used to make a liter of that disgusting stuff that nobody drinks. i bought a carton of 12 one liter boxes six months ago and i couldn't even finish the first liter.

if it was the nuts it's self, it would be long gone. let afghans benefit from it in it's natural form.

Hahah that is your opinion, but more than a million people in the world enjoy Almond milk, especially chocolate almond milk. But... there are always haters & haters going to hate. I am one of those who enjoy it along with rice milk, coconut milk and cashew milk. I also use it in cooking for those who are lactose intolerant.

You probably bought the cheapest and the lowest quality almond milk there is. I once bought a 1L almond milk in German store, and the taste was the same as of regular milk, and yoghurt made out of soja beans is even better, you could not even taste the diffrence. I recomend Alrpo producst they mostly use soja beans, but they also have almond milk products.

i didn't purchase it because it was cheap. i got it because it was the only size that i could reach on the shelf. maybe it tastes horrible because it's unsweetened. i am not very picky when it comes to food otherwise..
i have to find a foodbank before it expires now..

When I do go to Starbucks (not too often as I usually just drink black coffee), I get a Latte Machiatto with Coconut milk, it is an amazing drink.

I have almond milk with my cereal, in my tea, and chocolate almond milk before I sleep.

                  I love almond milk lol

I love almond milk with Smart Start cereal for breakfast. It is healthy and does not have the genetically modified ingredients that dairy has
