The talented Afghan boy who has built a solar-powered motorbike emphasizes his initiative is aimed at reducing the air pollution in the country.
Mustafa Mohammadi, the designer of the bike, said solar panels have been installed on the roof of the bike to help it move at a speed of 40 kilometers per hours.
Similar to a small car, the roofed bike was built during one and half month at a cost of 90,000 AFN, Mohammadi said, insisting the motorbike is able to carry two persons at a time.
"Car tires and motorcycle parts have been used in this motorbike," Mohammadi told TOLOnews. "But its frame, design and rest of works are of my own initiatives."
He added pedals have also been planted in the bike which could be used during the emergency conditions.
"Since the motorcycles are not safe and also pollute the air, I decided to build this roofed bike which doesn't need petroleum and won't make pollution," Mohammadi noted.
He believes that Afghanistan has scores of young talents that need government support to flourish their hidden skills.
