yes but indias overall gdp can make up for its relatively low gdp per capita, much like china today.

Well it is Good to have a GDP per capita of more than 30k or close to 40k$

But as per my personal understand any country with a GDP of more than 5-6k$ has a Good standard of living.Look at iran.Their GDP per capita income is like 6-7k and their standard of living is extremely Good with poverty population at as low as 10-12%.

India will have a GDP per capita income of atleast 5k$ by 2020-22.Infact even with 1500dollars per capita income their poverty rate is decreased to only 22%.

Pakistan if even remain so will have a GDP per capita of atleast 4500dollars by 2020.
