  • Pakistan offers global nuclear fuel services

GO PAKISTAN, the only muslim country and among the few world countries to do that. I hope we can use this to help cater to the energy needs in Afghanistan

WASHINGTON: Pakistan is offering its atomic fuel services to the world. Pakistan's Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani made the public offer in a statement of his country's commitments presented at US President Barack Obama's two-day summit on nuclear security. The written statement was distributed on Tuesday.

“As a country with advanced fuel capability, Pakistan is in a position to provide nuclear fuel cycle services under IAEA (UN International Atomic Energy Agency) safeguards, and to participate in any non-discriminatory nuclear fuel cycle assurance mechanism,” Gilani's statement said.

The PM said that Pakistan “is strongly committed to nuclear security.”

He added that Pakistan “would continue to refine and modernize its technical and human resources and mechanisms on safety and security of nuclear weapons, nuclear materials, facilities and assets.”

“Pakistan has maintained the highest standards for non-proliferation,” he added. “When problems surfaced we addressed them definitively and kept the international community informed.”

“Today a robust command and control system is in place, which protects our strategic assets against theft, diversion, and accidental or unauthorized use,” he said.—Reuters

But the track record of this country shows that it is a highly unreliable and crooked country. It says something and does another.

^ ?? Read what i said about your posts in the other section. Do not make a comment on my posts unless you got sources to back them up. Pakistan tried to transfer nuclear technology to Libya and Iran. Libyans turned out to be chickens so they had to roll back, Iranians turned out to be stupid who were given all the blueprints and still they havent done jack. Its not our fault

yeah an army that has fought of an isurrgency that 43 countries couldnt do in ten years. A country who has fought of a neighbour with three times its size, who is the only muslim country to have a nuclear program. Whose pilots were among the first ones to shoot down israeli planes and whose kill ratio was.

And im sure Abida hussian is a military expert but these quotes are from the autobiography of general Chuck yeager, i doubt youd know who that is if you listen to the likes of Abida Hussain, but yeah he was the greatest of the world war II heroes and is revered as one of the best USAF pilots here is what he wrote

"This airforce(the PAF), is second to none"

"The air war lasted two weeks and the Pakistanis scored a
three-to-one kill ratio, knocking out 102 Russian-made Indian jets
and losing thirty-four airplanes of their own. I'm certain about the
figures because I went out several times a day in a chopper and
          counted the wrecks below."

          "They were really good, aggressive
dogfighters and proficient in gunnery and air combat tactics. I was
damned impressed. Those guys just lived and breathed flying. "

(General (Retd.) Chuck Yeager (USAF) , Book: Yeager, the
          Autobiography).

I got lots more where that came from, want some ?

Libya and Iran, these were our muslim brothers that were under direct threat from Israel and still are, Israel having acquired nuclear weapons posed a great threat to these nations. We tried to help them the best way we could

But why then you sold to them why not for free for your muslim brothers?

Why Pakisatan has a habit of shopkeeping and bargaining even its the muslim brothers? I know pakistan just sells nuclear bomb blue prints. The rest these countries had to do was to smuggle centrifuge from the international balck market just as Pakistan had done.

Do you know anything about the nuclear process ? Centrifuge is NOTHING compared to the entire process. Making a nuke involves mastering the most advanced and complex technologies this world has to offer, we offered everything that we could. But they didnt have either the mental capacity or the balls to do it. Ofcourse we couldn't transfer direct nukes to these countries that would be a disaster in terms of foreign sanctions. Therefore we did whatever we could to help them in the best way possible and even today if someone was to attack to these countries they would find Pakistanis flying way ahead of any of their pilots.

Making nuclear bomb is no longer an advanced technology it is just a forbidden technology. And for your information my subject is not Political Science or International Realtions, My subject is Physics.

Then you definitely need to get some schooling in the subject because if you think a centrifuge is all that is required then yeh drop physics, and for your info my subject is engineering so yes i do know what im talking about and if you really wanna debate on the "process" I can make a separate thread for how Pakistan acquired its nukes. It goes into detail about all the technologies that had to be mastered before we could even begin to realise the dream of a nuclear Pakistan.

Engineers don't know about nuclear physics. Btw, I've read a lot about this issue; how Dr. Qadir who is basically a metallargical engineer got the blue print from the Holland nuclear power plant, and also the rest of the story.

I don't know how a metallargical engineer could become the pioneer of the atomic bomb. Btw,have you ever read about the creation of the first nuclear bomb and what sorts of scientist were involved in the Manhattan Project and how they made calculation for it without even having any hand calculator back then during the 40s?

The word is "metallurgical" and who says it was just AQ Khan ? he is given more credit than its worth way more infact. Pakistan had scientists like Abdus Salam spearheading the initial phases of the project during which most owrk was done. In case you dont know who that is look up the first muslim scientist to win a nobel prize in Physics and to date only two muslim scientists have done that.
