I still remember KSE 100 was below 10000 points in oct 2011.and ever since in only 2 years it has breached upto 25k points.more than double.

business standard once quoted Pakistan stock exchange will hit 40k points by 2015 end and will have a market cap of 200billion dollars..

Any other pakistani can confirm, the loadshedding has decreased to non exisiting here in abbottabad.though in bannu it is still 4-5hours per day.

The shortfall has already reduced to 2200mw and work on 14000mw project is ON.

Economic growth rate as expected will be about 5% this year and 6% by 2015 and expect an average 7% till 2020.with this growth rate we can double our GDP in very short time.

By PPP term if the Growth rate remain around 7-8% than we will have a GDP PPP of 1trillion before 2020 and if it remain like 5% than most probably by 2020-22.

By gross estimate of return.Karachi stock exchange was declared consistantly as the only 2nd to japan/tokyo stock in exhange in both 2011 and 2012

a single year witnessed a increased of 40%.

AS RICH countries’ economies slump, brave investors looking for fast returns may be tempted to look further afield. Which of the world’s more exotic markets offer the best returns? Mexico has developed a following among investors bored of Brazil. The Philippines has been on a roll too, recently winning its first ever investment-grade credit rating. But virtually everywhere is beaten hands down by the tiny Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE), which has risen by 40% so far this year in local currency terms. Of stock markets tracked by The Economist, only Japan’s has performed better.

the market value earlier this year was 55billion dollars and within less than an year it has already breached upto 82billion dollars.

I believe it can very easily reach 200billion dollars in just 2-3 years.imagine if the situation in country gets to normal

Pakistan can easily undergo an average double digit growth rate for 2-3 decades considering this much larger population and most of them youth

Never heard about the misallocation though.would be rather thankful to you if some insights are provided on this subject to me

About inflation again I thought inflation doesnt count in stock exchange as they are based of real time local Currency value against dollar

I am not a economics student.

though the site i have quoted is indeed one hell of credible.

anyway last hour watched an interview of a guy named bilal asif in the Aj kamran khan k sath program.

they were discussing the potential of KSE 100 in 2014.asif bilal mentioned many points of whom i would mention the one i still remember

He said next year the stock market has the potential to perform more better than in 2013.he quoted few points

*the new govt is business friendly
*Economics growth rate is increasing giving a boost to the moral of invester
*Cash flow from the private powerplants aswell as the other is getting better and better(i really dont know why he said so)
*situation in karachi is getting better
            *country is getting stable

he quoted many such more points as the contributing factors for the next year positive growth of KSE 100

Though i myself think by dec end next year the KSE-100 might be atleast be at 29-30k points and a market cap of atleast 100-110billion dollars

but i believe the Karachi stock exchange has the potential to reach atleast 500billion dollars market cap by the end of this decade

bitch ANP long back claimed to make one in peshawar but they didnt.

Asad umar once said we will establish a stock exchange in peshawar.

And i believe PTI indeed is not as much corrupt as ANP was

Any confirmation from Afghanistan? Is there any stock exchange especially in Pashtun dominated cities?

If not then Pashtuns have to think that why in the world of 70 millions of Pashtuns, we even do not have a basic economic institution, a stock exchange!

Karachi pashtuns populations has already reached upto 35% of total karachi population and some sources suggest it to be 40%

So in a sense karachi stock exchange does has some pashtun share aswell :D

Sources suggest that A stock exchange in afghanistan is built since 2012 and is in kabul
