  • Army, air force induct first fleet of indigenously developed drones

Burraq is a UCAV otherwise Pakistan is making UAV ever since 1995-2000 and has even exported to private firms in USA and Australia

Burraq UCAV projected started in 2006-07 With nescom. After repeatedly denied by USA for the export of Predators to Pakistan.

We were forced to develop one on our own.Well it indeed is not as good as the predators or reapers are but certainly Good enough to make Mullah radio past tense

The armed forces announced on Monday that they had inducted the very first fleet of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) in the Army and the Air Force.
According to a release from the Inter-services Public Relations (ISPR) announced that the first fleet of strategic drones, ‘Burraq’ and ‘Shahpar’, had been inducted into the forces. Both of the drones were produced indigenously.
The military described the induction as a “landmark and historic event,” where a “very effective force multiplier has been added to the inventory of the armed forces.”

“In the future these UAVs could also be gainfully employed in various socio-economic development projects, as well,” it added, hinting at the possibility of using drones in non-combat settings and for civilian use.
The induction ceremony was attended by Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Director General Strategic Plans Division Lieutenant General (Retd) Khalid Ahmed Kidwai, and senior officers from armed forces, scientists and engineers.
General Kayani, while appreciating the work of NESCOM scientists and engineers, highlighted that induction of indigenously developed surveillance capable UAVs in Pakistan Armed Forces is a force multiplier, and will substantially enhance their target acquisition capabilities in real time.

Shahpar,This is not the armed one

this is burraq,Armed with 2 missiles as visible in the model.because the UAV is still in the assembly line

Burraq is way too bigger and the size can be compared with the door in the background.

Burraq is atleast as much bigger as much the Turkish anka or iranian shahed is.
Though the turkish anka is superior to both pakistani and iranian shahed drones

NDC is also believed to be developing a rather different UCAV based off falco.

Laser guided aswell as the disignator are being indigenously developed at Nescom but the recent Pakistan interest into the turkish utmas missile indicates that NESCOM must be at some problem struck with the development of national laser guided missile project.since laser guided missiles are very difficult to be developed, especially the seeker since they are fire and forgot

All these represent are more killing machines in the hands of a fabulously corrupt military that lives in a state of symbiosis with feudal masters.

Short sighted leadership and short sighted voters in tandem are ensuring that Pakistan will remain a dysfunctional state for decades to come. Propagandists in the Pakistani media have produced such confusion in their population that somehow the same person will anoint Benny Bhutto and Dictator Musharraf as saints in the same sentence without recognizing what that even means historically.

The money matters speak for themselves when they show how Pakistan has found itself in the ludicrous position of being a welfare state for the feudal masters and schizophrenic military:

"But Sharif’s ability to force Washington’s hand is constrained by finances: his government relies on $1.6 billion in US aid and is dependent on US support for the $6.7 billion International Monetary Fund loan package it just signed."

The brain drain the country witnesses daily is empiric evidence of far behind it is falling. Its best and brightest do their utmost to take their skillsets elsewhere.

The voters are also ill informed when reading their reasoning for how and why they voted for a particular politician. One interview in a poor Punjab village setting had a family talking about how members of Nawaz Sharif's team had been by promising airports in improbable areas closer to villagers - and the villagers bought these lies wholesale.

Basically, the istan states are doomed to perpetual failure until they realize an autonomous and joint destiny of shared resources so that they shed dependency off their individual paymasters.

Small gains mean little when the big picture is looking worse and worse.

One key indicator is the issue with a reliable power grid. No country can advance with a dependable power grid and Pakistan cares not a whit or a lick about this.

Mulk bohat taraqi kar raha hain? Is the sentiment you feel when you see this toy-looking drone? I ask this genuinely, with due respect. BA just posted what I was about to say, so do read what he says three times before you respond wrora.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

making weapons to kill people ,is that pakistani islam?
what the pakistani govt did for its people?
These weapons and drones are made to protect pakistani corrupt leaders and generals from outsiders.
The pakistani army occupied its own country.
They do,nt have electricity or power and here they make drones.
It is only to protect punjab not others.

                    Admitted they are killing machines

Agreed about the Election compaign part

Personal politices still works in Pakistan and by large in Punjab.Otherwise Noora would have not won but rather a Nationalist leader like Imran khan

But if these machines means the killing of tali*******s than they are very much welcome.

I am a nationalist Pakistani and a extremely secular

To me a Pakistani hindu/Christian/Jew is thousand times more closer than a muslim from KSA,India or any other state to name.

Anything that kills the tali*******s holds alot of respect from my side excluding the drone strikes that cause alot of collateral damage.

And i beg to differ,No Pakistan wont remain so for the years to come but rather getting better and better. From chitral to karachi everyone is against and hate tali*******s from their core of hearts.
Being from KPK i have lost many in the ttp suicide bombers blast and later they also claimed the responsibilities.

                    About the Economic Part.

This Govt of Sharif sucks at everything most important is the foriegn policy but they are the best when it comes to Economy.especially the upgradation of infra.

Loan was taken because a considerable damage is done by the past govt.If you browse the latest WB detail about Pak,They have enhanced the GDP growth rate from mere 3.1% to now 4.2%.Pakistan is all set to grow at an average atleast 6-7% till 2020.

Building defense industry is very important when your at a threat of war with a very bigger enemy.

We could not import more than 60f-16 in the past 3 decades but we just inducted 50 JF-17 in 3 years. And 100 of them more to follow.

So building defense is important is very important for Pakistan

Interesting New More and More development are coming

*Officiall Annoucement of JF-17 III a new variant OF JF-17 to be developed before the cease of Block II Production(probably in 2016-17)

*Al khalid II is all set to roll out Next year,I just cant wait to see the prototypes Pics

*Pakistan is discussing a possible venture of a Passenger aircraft with turkey or China(18-20 seats only,H khan confirmed If Funds permitted Pakistan can go for a 50 seats passenger aircraft development program with Turkey)

*HIT is all set to roll out a new variant of Yasoob truck,A truck developed in the 90's but due to high brass kickbacks. The manufacturing plant was later terminated in a loss of more than 17millions dollars in 90's.

*Burraq MRAP,Specially designed against IED's with a V shape Hull.

*Militarysta(Polish tanker) has confirmed that the new APFSDS round developed by ARDE(Probably turkey help must be involved? but not sure) has a penetration capability of atleast upto 600mm of RHA..This makes Pakistan even surpass South korea and probably among the top countries to having a APFSDS of this much penetration Power,

The Abram American tank can be penetrated easily if the APFSDS hit it at 60 Degree arc, which is said to have just the armour thickness of 500-520mm. Compare to Indian Arjun just 450mm while t-90 even less

Probably by 2020 Pakistan defense industry will be at its peak.

Today we manufacture tanks(3rd generation tanks),4th generation fighter aircrafts, trainer aircrafts,Midget submarines(Analyst Believe that KPC-3 will be the first Pakistani nuclear submarine),ships,Ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, atgm's,armoured vehicles,

More than 60% of the military needs and may grow even more by 2020

Pakistan was truely becoming a knowledge based Economy Under musharaf but as we entered into the War on terror everything f****d up

a 1 dollar sling shot would be more impressive if it was actually pointed at the foreign drones. look at all these expensive toys that don't amount to **** because they are still grounded based on orders while pashtuns are casually bombed by america. if indian drones bombed punjabis in pakistan, what would the response be?
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

in 2002 an indian Drone was shot down near pak-indo border

later the Indian accused Pak of shooting them within their own territory.

Yes i agree the double standard exist against FATA.
