  • First ever military academy inaugurated in Kabul

A first ever military academy has been inaugurated in a move to strengthen the capacity and enhance professionalism of Afghan National Army (ANA) officers, an official said on Wednesday.
Addressing a press conference, Brig Gen. Mohammad Sharif Sharifi, a leading commander of the ANA academy in Kabul said the academy was funded by the Britain.
The military institute is a model of England’s Sundhurst Military Academy where 200 Afghan teachers and another 126 teachers from UK, Denmark, New Zealand and Australia have been assigned to train ANA officers, he added.
He said the first round of training was begun on Sept 23 of the current year where 10,000 ANA officers received training with 270 among them had been deployed, discharging their duties.
Duration of the training is one year, and after completion their training, the officers would be promoted to the rank of 2nd lieutenant, he noted.
Head of the academy, Brig Gen. Marcesheen said only brilliant officers were allowed to register and receive training in the academy.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

These are the signs of an emerging state, an emerging great Afghanistan.

Now instead of marauding hordes of Taliban and militias of warlords we will have professional forces trained in professional institutions. Bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.
