1. The Buddhas of Bamyan are not Hazara culture since their appearance in Central Afghanistan dates back to the Mongol Invasion and the statues were build atleast 500 years prior to that.
2. Every state would be called "failing" if an armed insurgency backed by neighbouring countries would bomb away newly build brigdes, schools and roads.
Now, some people might say
"Dude, those schools couldn´t be used anyway because of construction errors and corruption. And those bridges would let occupation forces transport weapons and goods so its tactical decision and of course roads are evil if evil people travel on them..."
It´s this vicious ill-wishing to the nation that bothers me.
Schools, roads and bridges can be rebuild some day.
But who´s gonna pay for that?
The Taliban aka the ISI?
I don´t think so and that´s why the ruins will remain while they ride their bikes across destroyed landscape, pose with AK-47s and Surma around their eyes to western journalist and feel good IF the win this battle while this nation will starve because food shortages physically and from shortages of education and information mentally.
It´s our responsibility that this state which is our home doesn´t fail.
It´s in our interest that our people don´t become refugees in foreign countries again.
It´s definitly in our interest when our widows don´t have to prostitue themselves in Karachi or Teheran to feed their starving children.
Get real people.
Criticism is very easy.
Taking responsibility seems to be harder!
