Bengalis are a role model for Pakhtuns both politically and economically. Politically while the East Bengalis were the real creators of Pakistan, yet once they realised that they and their resources were being exploited despite being majority ,they stood for a seperate homeland and sought freedom fro the clutched of the Punjabi military tyrrany.

It can be speculated on similar lines ,that Pakhtuns, being the second largest population in Pakistan, though have been under the tyrrany and clutches of the military elite and civil bureaucracy of Punjab dominated Pakistan will ultimately revolt, when their humiliation and exploitation will touch unbearable threshold.
Whatever happens for Pashtuns of Pakhtunkhwa, they will decide. It is up to Pashtoons to decide and someone like myself will not suggest what they should do, but however I will always be supporting them 100%.

However all I can say is that history is a cyclical process and certain races and cultures have traits that never change. The Pakhtun is a proud and brave warrior who values NANG, GHAIRAT and IMANDAARI and just as in the past Pakhtuns created:

    - The Abdali dynasty that ruled Afghanistan and Pakistan.

    - Lodhi dynasty that ruled India.

    - Suri dynasty that ruled India and Bangladesh (Bengal).

    - Karrani dynasty that ruled Bangladesh (Bengal).

    - Hotaki dynasty that ruled Iran.

Pakhtuns will inevitably re-emerge to prominece. I believe that Pakistan is transient and its life is about to expire soon

Micro credit is the nobel prize winning brainchild of the Bengali genius economist Professor Younus, who brought laurels to his nation by winning nobel prize 2006 for peace. More than that he gave the system of what is called Micro Credit for the poor and unpriviledged masses.

Professor Younus was among the top 25 great thinkers of 2009 , a list headed by thinkers like Steve Jobs of Apple Macintosh and including bright minds and enterprenuers like like Bill Gates.

It is suggested that the Govt of Pakhtunkhwa and Afghanistan should make use of the Micro credit concept and form banks like Grameen Bank of Bangla Desh to help the poor masses of Pakhtunland. The idea can be implemented generally for any poor populace across the third world.

they can't even help themselves yet they want to mount some campaign to win over Pashtuns

          why?

          what do they want?

for Pashtuns to give their lives in some war between begali desis and punjabi desis? like india?

Obama won a Nobel peace prize too. So what?

Btw, micro-finance is just another tool to exploit the poor.

Pashtuns should not get help from any outside regional power because they do it for their own political interests.

India,Pakistan and Bengladesh all do it for their own political interests and Pashtun should only help Pashtun for the betterment of the Pashtun nation.

Not some other poor country who should be concerned for its own inhabitants who suffer from suffer and tidal waves.

                  Kind Regards
What If both our interests are the same or very nearly the same?

I think people here are associating BRAC's involvement in Afghanistan as the direct involvement of the BD govt. We have to remember that BRAC is a NGO, independent of govt. control. BD govt would hardly have a say in what BRAC does in Afghanistan.

As to any ulterior motives behind BRAC's involvement, I cant think of any. Sometimes people just want to help and do good!

You seem confused, I dont know where to begin with. Number 1 the firm that is assisting Afghanistan is a NGO. Its a NGO from Bangladesh that is helping us.

We need assistance, how about we just take it and be happy?

Welcome to the family by the way. we are all a family here.

why are bangladeshis who are some of the poorest people in the world coming to "help" us? why don't they help bangaldeshis?

do you realize that a govt can sponsor a so called ngo to act as an ambassador on their behalf?

do you honestly think labels like ngo really mean anything?

2)ofcourse it does, it means they are not associate with the Govt.

                                that is the question indeed
