Dear some people never get out of tunnel vision and when failed to do anything practically they keep on whining and whining.Originally posted by AFRIDINadir Shah, since when was Afghanistan controlled by Punjabi?
This is terrific news for Afghans. I am proud of my brothers across the order.
as an Afghan from Pekhawar I take pride in this.
Instead of taking care and proposing future strategy how to utilise this discovered natural treasure for the development of Afghanistan and its people, these guys are stuck in hate for us.
What a pity. This behaviour is going to doomed them.

I quite frankly find it hard to believe that all Talibans were under ISI control, maybe a few.
If you disagree, explain the present resistance. Explain how Taliban insurgents just captured 40 Pakistani soldiers.
Please do tell this thing to those members here who see ISI behind all ills of theirs.
Even if they burp its ISI that is responsible. lolzz.
Anyway how do you see how can these natural resources utilised for wellbeing of Afghan people ?

OMG OMG wats with u ppl.
first of the minerals are not even worth 1 trillion and this is not the first time reports have been made on Afghanistan natural resources, even the russians new we had lots of minerals but 1 trillion is an over exaguration. this is just a distraction because most ppl in america are now against the afghan war and walllah the timing of the report is reali dodgy and the fact that America is having its ass handed to it in Kandahar. anywayz its a distraction. aand it will be a decade before we have the infrastructure/machinery and human resources to extract these minerals efficiently for our benefit"Remember this revolution is born out of Love For My People not hatred for others"-- Immortal Technique

Many in US are also of the opinion that its distraction to stay longer in Afghanistan but again who knows. Lets wait. And yes i agree that it will take a long time.
here is something new development and i am dead sure you will be surprised that the amount of these minerals have now gone up to 3 Trillion as per Afghan minister
An Afghan mining official has said untapped minerals in the war-torn country are worth at least 3 trillion dollars - triple a recent U.S. estimate.
Minister of Mines, Wahidullah Shahrani, said he's going to Britian next week to discuss how to attract foreign investors to mine one of the world's largest iron ore deposits in Bamiyan province.
He said in addition to iron ore, Afghanistan also has deposits of copper, coal and rare earth metals, such as lithium.
Precious metals like gold, along with gemstones, construction materials and significant deposits of oil and gas are also present in various parts of the country.

yes these can very much but for that Afghans themselves have to decide and act according to best interests of entire Afghan population instead of being selective and taking sides.
They should consider best mining companies from South Africa and China instead of banking on regional countries.
SA is considered the best.
The moral of the story is the Afghan government has to be above the political affiliations and influence to tap these resources for the best interests of people of Afghanistan.
