Afghans always have their priorities wrong. sigh..
afghans have got not ther priorities wrong , but they have no leaders concernd

about their people , their country and their personal aim and ambition towards

life and their place in history .

they care more about burmese internal conflicts , about the jews and palestine ,

about wahabis telling them this and that and wether whose aqida is right or wrong .

and last but not least , their own pocket .

heres a video of a drive through the area

      kandahar city - YouTube
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

What is this quarter for? will they give poor Afghans a home or is it a luxury quarter like on previous pictures?

                      Mos builders are Pakistanis.

Its a project for wealthy people. Most of them have their homes outside Afghanistan. They just want to have a nice place to stay when they visit Afghanistan.

There are other similar projects across Afghanistan. The idea is to have these areas surrounded by walls and gates and security guards.

Kinda like what they have in India and the Gulf states. Poor stay out, only for the rich.

oke some poor Pakistanis then, who I bet must be Pashtuns. So thats also positive, for a person who is firmley against nationalism and should be happy that other poor muslims can work.

Your argument was that local Afghans will benefit from this millionairs quarter.

True, Pakistanis are poor and they need to make a living. But since Pakistani government is deliberately harming the economy of Afghanistan, we have no other choice but to have protectionist economic measures.

Allowing a Pakistani to manage the building project while the laborers are Afghans seems to be the right solution.

Islamically, there is no law suggesting we should not care for our local economic interests.

I am afraid that because Afghans lack skills and knowledge, they will keep relying on foreigners for jobs.

If we are truly interested in helping our country, what we could do is finance a vocational school for builders in rural areas of Kandahar and other major cities.

But unfortunately, the criminal elite of Kandahar have no interest in long term investments. They just care about how they can make their cousins look stupid and poor while they boast about their newly aquired wealth through "mordagawi''

When schools are built in Kandahar, some "unknown"(tsk, tsk)elements blows them up.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

                              -Ferishta, 1560–1620
