Why is this always ONLY the government supposed to be concerned about the welfare of the people?Originally posted by Khostai View Post^Low cost housing can only be realised when Afghan goverment have money to sustain them and build them. This is a private project.
And only if Afghanistan become industralized, it can built many low cost houses.
But that is not gona happen really soon.
And the sustainability of the project would not really belong to the builders once they render the housings to their clients. In such cases, usually the second owners of these housings make sure the neighborhood sustains fine and well by establishing cooperative societies consisting on the very owners."Da bado sakha sha zezhi, da sho sakha washa zezhi"

Becuase only the goverment can realise such thing, I live in Belgium and all the lowcost housing or what they call here sociale woningen are build by the goverment help, private investers can't make that becuase they want profit whit low cost houses you can never make profit, so goverment must be involved.Originally posted by Nazar View PostWhy is this always ONLY the government supposed to be concerned about the welfare of the people?

And don't misunderstand me I also would really like to see more normal houses for the average Afghan, but Afghanistan is not a socialist or communist country so what do you expect.

You have to look at every aspect of this.Originally posted by Afghanistan2010 View PostMost people who live in such villas have Dollars because they are either government workers got their money from their american masters and charity organisations or criminals who have stolen the money.

These houses or villas are national investments. I would rather let them spend the money within Afghanistan, than transfer them to Dubai and build mansions by the sea. There are hundreds of poor people busy working in these projects. These villas are feeding all those people and their families.
Forget about these rich people. Have you helped any of those poor people who are starving to death? How many poor people are you (if you are old enough) or your parents (if you are young) feeding on a monthly basis? What fraction of your or family's income go to the poor and starving people around the world? You might not be super rich, but you can obviously afford a computer and internet at home while there are muslim people starving and dying in this world. Whatever you are paying to your internet provider can feed a poor family for a month. Or, you are just waiting to get rich like all those villa owners and then you will start feeding poor people.
We hear these "feeding the poor people instead of wasting money on the villas" on a daily basis on the net. There is a saying in Pashto,
ملا خپله کونه ورکوي خو خلقو ته نصيحت کوي
Don't take it personal, it is just a saying.

No, the streets and air is clean and fresh just the houses and villes look like Pakistani Islamabad style. For our friends GOE, Afghanistan2010 and the rest of the bunch the people in that houses are American ''puppets'' and ''secularists'' and ''pro-war Uncle Toms'' lol, spies, ...I doubt that these beautiful houses will be used as such once Taliban are back. They will turn it as hotels for terrorists from Arabia, Pakistan and other states or as jails and just take them for themself.Originally posted by AFG21 View PostIs this Aino Mena? Hmm I am disapointed it looks really cheap and the buildings look like they are old and there is litel green where is the big park and the shoping street and not to forget teh big mosque, or is that not finished yet. i dont know about pakislamabad style, but these villas look like villas in dubai by nakheel and emaar (at arabian ranches, sufouh, jumeirah etc). i think the developers live in dubai, see the local style and export it to aino mina or any other mina.Originally posted by NokiaWnW View PostNo, the streets and air is clean and fresh just the houses and villes look like Pakistani Islamabad style. Actually the only city in Afghanistan that is covered in smog is Kabul the others are pretty clean whit fresh air. And yes the houses do really look like Pakistany style, but on the other hand they do look better than those bright pink and green and blue houses of Herat and Kabul. When I look at those houses my eyes begins to burn.Originally posted by NokiaWnW View PostNo, the streets and air is clean and fresh just the houses and villes look like Pakistani Islamabad style. For me it doesn't matter if a american slave of dubai(sheikh) makes a villa in Dubai or a afghan murtad (apostate, slave of ther american terrorists) a villa in Afghanistan, the world as whole belongs to Allah alone.Originally posted by Ghorzang View PostYou have to look at every aspect of this.

Furthermore these projects you claim that poor work in,but doubt they will let poor people working, because only people with certain architecture knowledge can build good buildings.
It is ridiculous to claim that building these villas are in benefit of the afghan people, they may have short time benefit for people, but they can not feed people.
After that let us come to my person,
a wise man said : if you point one finger towards others three are aiming at you so becareful pointing at me,the knowledge is with Allah if im helping poor or not it is not of your business,i maybe myself poor.
But poor and an orphaned is not the one who has less money and no parents, but the one who has no Ilm (knowledge) and Adab.
Im not so generous that i leave my life and everything for the poors, but if all of us give a bit to the poors there will be no poors no famine anymore.
But inshaAllah this is to those people in Qandahar who help the Kharzai puppet government and its allies and the american terrorists, your fate will be that of Ahmed Khaar Wali (de amerika spay).High achievement always takes place in the framework of high expectation.

Forget about the benefits of this project, as it will take you a while to understand that.Originally posted by Afghanistan2010 View PostAfter that let us come to my person,

About the personal point, I was not the one who brought the "helping the poor instead of building the villas" issue. I just wanted you to live in reality. If you are not generous enough, then why do you want those who live in villas to be so generous? Apparently you don't want them to live in villas and instead help the poor. I just gave you the same offer, disconnect your internet and feed a poor family. But, you do not want to sacrifice anything yourself, instead you want others to help the poor.
I am not saying that they should not help the poor. They should. However, no body in this world is generous enough to sacrifice their wants (anything that is not absolutely needed for survival) to fulfil somebody's needs, including you. What I am trying to point out is that be happy that they are investing those moneys inside Afghanistan and are not transferring them to their offshore accounts. It is simple economics.

architecture in developing countries always seems to end up with these kinds of places for the wealthy and high rise horrors for the poor. (having already happened in the west) the character and individuality of each family having a small home, even if it is nothing flash, is stolen from the average person.
in singapore, what i saw in the 60s and then in 2008, was a shock. a locals told me 'we call the new high rise apartmants, pigeon cages'=they fly out in the morning and back in, in the evenings. the parks used to be full of stalls, old men playing games at tables, people milling and kids playing. in 2008, i did not see one person in any park that i passed by bus. the soul has been ripped out of that city.

i had a relative come back and tell me about that area. he says its probably the nicest residential area in the whole country. very clean, neat, orderly. and that its already big as it is but they are doing some major expansions to it.There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Insead of building these residential areas for the rich and privilaged, they should concentrate on restoring the canal systems of the helmand valley which were destroyed by Chengiz khan and his descendents. There is so much vast flatland in Helmand and Farah which can be used for farming with restoration of canals and water from helmand river. This way we won't have to rely on our neighbours for wheat and other essentials. Afghans always have their priorities wrong. sigh...
