    51 cured children return
    home

KABUL: Some 51 children suffering from different kinds of severe diseases
on Saturday returned home from Germany after 6 months to one year
treatment by Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) and German
    government.

51 children who were freely treated in Germany funded by German Peace
Hamlet and in collaboration of ARCS had serious bone breaks and burnt
problems, said an Afghan official on Saturday.

Enyatullah Seddiqi, protocol director of ARCS said that the German Peace
Hamlet has treated hundreds of children having incurable burn and bone
broken problems in Afghanistan since 25 years in Germany in collaboration
    of ARCS.

At least 50 to 150 children were treated in each round which were
recognized as an official announcement through media, added Mr. Seddiqi.

Mohebullah one of the cured child who had burns in his foot said that he
was not treated in Afghanistan and was sent to Germany for treatment.

Mohebullah while appearing satisfied with the behavior of German doctors
and the officials in Afghanistan said “Now I feel better and have no problem
and I can easily walk and play football after 6-months treatment”.

Raziah mother of a one year child who was returned back to her after
treatment said her child had 6 months age and she had serious heart
problem and now she is fine.

Zahra Mohammadi, a young daughter said that her feet bone was broken
and was not treatable in Afghanistan so she was recovered in Germany.

Sayed Sharef whose 12-year child was treated in Germany seemed
satisfied and said that his son was recovered in 4 rounds.

In each round his child was treated for 4 to 6 months, added Sharif.
Sharif’s son treatment was impossible in Afghanistan, therefore he was
sent to Germany by ARCS otherwise his child’s leg would have been cut off
    by doctors.
