Newly Built Bridge Connects
Valleys in Maydan Wardag
Provincial authorities have opened a newly constructed bridge which has
connected two valleys with the rest of the province in Central Province of
Maydan Wardag.
Shahidullah Shahid, a spokesman to the Maydan Wardag Governor told
Wakht News Agency the bridge has been constructed over Bairon River at
Behsod district of the province at a cost of 80000 USD.
The bridge has connected some ten thousands people of two valleys Dara
Sar Balagh and Dara Khani who earlier were compelled to cover a long
distance or ferry their essential luggage on animals’ back to cross the river.
Behsod is among the few districts of the province where development
works have been carried out on a larger scale.
