Governor Kandahar on Wednesday handed over eleven well equipped
ambulances donated by the USAID to the Kandahar Public Health
Department.
Talking to media persons after the handing over ceremony, Governor
Kandahar Dr. Turyalai Wesa thanked the USAID for its generous efforts and
donations and said that it would enhance the capacity of the department
and benefit the people at large.
He also appreciated the efforts of the Chief of Public Health Department
and said that his untiring efforts had improved the health services in the
province.
Dr. Abdul Qayum Pokhula, Chief of Kandahar Public Health Department said
that the ambulances were fully equipped and had been procured at a cost
of 24 million Afghanis.
