what stupididty ,the Afghan minister should face justice, son of a ****
You think this is bad? Let me tell you a confirmable story that should enrage anyone with Pashtun blood, whether he be Talib or an Occupation Footstool.

We went to our native Sher Surkh and were flabbergasted. Gul Agha Sherzoy had commissioned the Iranians to redo the very shrine/grave where Ahmad Khan Sadozai became Ahmad Shah Durrani. The old pictures of the shrine my parents had showed elegant construction... it was damaged in the Russian invasion era, but still retained its splendure. and now it looks gaudy and is completely redone by the Iranian architects without ANY NEED for that to have occured. There was no instability in the basic structure of the small edifice at all.

Can you believe that? ... the shrine where the Pashtun confederacy was born from, the Shrine where all our history emanates from, was redone in such a manner in which to be nearly unrecognizable. Zmaa Zraa maath ramaath sho. That was one of the turning points in my thoughts. If anyone has the current pictures of the structure and you compare it with its former beauty, you will feel a thousand arrows piercing your heart.

Sherzoy spit all over the legacy of Haji Jamal Khan and Ahmad Shah Baba in one fowl swoop.

In fact, let someone post that image up (the before and after pictures) and let them judge, when they see it, what sort of idiotic man Sherzai is and was.

          Afghan Historical Monuments
          Require Immediate Attention

In case the Afghan historical monuments are recognized part of the world historic
heritage the Afghan government with the cooperation of the world community should
work towards improving the status of the monuments and thus save them from
          complete annihilation.

This was stated in a commentary of BIA that adds, inattention has been paid towards
preservation of the country’s historic monuments ad this of course is abuse to the
national identity and history of our nation and the world community. For this very
reason the Ministry of Information and Culture for preventing annihilation of the
historic monuments organized a gathering in Kabul.

At this gathering the participants included the ambassadors and cultural figures of
friendly countries in Kabul with the very aim to attract the attention of the world
community towards assisting the ministry in this respect. Information and Culture
Minister Dr. Sayed Makhdom Raheen describing the alarming status of the historic
monuments said that in case today we do not resort to measures for preservation of
the historic heritage of Afghanistan in the near a great part of the common culture
and civilization of the world in this part of the world will be eliminated.

This indicates that foundations and historical monuments of Afghanistan are on the
verge of annihilation and if timely action is not taken in this respect a part of the
common human civilization in Afghanistan will become susceptible and destroyed.

According to the analysts not only the Afghanistan government but the world
community too have responsibility. In order to draw the attention of the world
community the ministry invited the political and cultural representatives of the friendly
countries in Kabul to share the problem with them and seek their government’s
          assistance in this respect.

We should simply say that why the cultural and historical heritage of the country is at
such a condition? No one has said that these historical heritage needs this much of
resources for their reconstruction. It is sorrowful that the decadent walls at Sher
Darwaza are still in its destructed condition, the Kabul Fort is remaining decadent and
the historic Darul Aman palace and other such important historic foundations are on
the verge of complete annihilation. Dr. Rahen noted that since 1979 a major part of
the historic monuments and relics throughout the country have been either destroyed
or smuggled and illegal archeological excavations have taken place in many parts of
          the country.

Some of the historic assets have been destroyed and the remaining damaged so much
that they require serious efforts and resources so that these assets are delivered to
the future generation in sound manner. So the present situation can be called as a
cultural crisis and this can be ended when the Afghan government, the world
community and the people resist the usurpers and thieves and prevent them not to
further harm our national historical assets.
