Watan TV officially inaugurates in Kabul (Video) - Pajhwok Afghan News - blip.tv
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

I'm not sure if it is available on satalite yet. I am assuming it is not. I know about it because I used to watch when I was in Afghanistan some time back when I was there. It is lively and has lots of music and entertainment. It seems like a southern (Kandahari) channel. By the way at the time they were running a trial, so it is great that it is now officially launched.

I don't know what Nokia is on about.

It is a good news. Hopefully, we will soon see another Pashto channel within the next few months. It's name will be "Zhwandoon" and Ismail Yoon is the founder.

good news but Dari still dominates the media and TV sector. There is over 20-25 Dari networks in Afghanistan and the satellites are full of Tajikistani and Irani networks. With Zhwandoon, Pashto has about 5 stations now (including the pro-dari tajik lemar TV). cheers
