    Iran starts mass production of Mesbah 1 air defense system

    This Mesbah (Lantern) Radar controlled (looks like a phase array radar) AAA system with optical tracking and linked with a SAM system is based on the well tried system ZSU 4 quads Zu-23-2 guns (8 individual guns in total). This 23mm auto feed AAA would operate like a US Phalanx or Swiss Oerlikon (Iran has experience with both) at knocking out low level drones, planes and cruise missiles.

    The shortcoming being, it works in a very limited short range..The basic idea is similar to CIWS used in frigates to intercept incoming missiles/crafts and what not, if they are using this then it means the russian s-300 deal is falling apart. This wont be much of a challange to the Silent Eagles being acquired by Israel, if they wish to stand a chance against a strike they need the s-300 thats the minimum defence deterrent there is.

          So this is just to state that in case Iran is attacked with drones, they are prepared to defend themselves.

            With this no way dude, the best they got are these MIM-23 Hawk batteries that the US gave em back in the day

            Even with these two systems they dont stand a chance against the Israeli Sufas and F-15s, not to mention if the US raptors decide to join the party ..game over
