  • Women's Park in Ghazni and Schools in Helmand & Baghlan inaugurated

Musa Khan Akbarzada (Governor of Ghazni province), Dr. Husn Banu Ghazanfar (Minister of Women’s Affairs), and other Afghan and foreign officials recently attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open a new women’s park in the province of Ghazni, said a NATO news release today. The park has a shopping center, garden fountain, benches and large grassy areas. Funding for the project was provided by the Polish government. “Women finally got their own space where they can spend time reading or playing with children, but most of all where they can have their own small businesses,” said Shukria Wali, chief of the Department for Women’s Affairs to local journalists.

An official from Afghanistan’s Ministry of Education said today that a school building for the Qarah Ahmad Primary School in the Dushi district of Baghlan province was inaugurated. The school building took one year to build and it has 9 classrooms, 4 administrative rooms and 10 restrooms. It also has a surrounding wall and a well. Tables and chairs were also provided to the students.
The same official said that two new school buildings were inaugurated in Afghanistan’s Helmand province. One is for the Lashgar Bazar Boys Primary School and the other for the Lashgar Bazar Girls Primary School. One building has 8 classrooms, 4 administrative rooms and 10 restrooms, and the other building has 4 classrooms, 2 administrative rooms and 5 restrooms. Funding for both projects were provided by the government of Denmark.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

I love the women's park. I think more should be developed, all around Afghanistan. I went to a couple.....and by far, i saw women were more comfortable there. In a womens park, a women can remove her burqa and/or scarf. In those women parks, there are many shops inside for food and clothing, and other women related supplies. And also thank goodness no louchaki men are around....so they are more at ease.

There was a women's park in Kabul. There women used to come and do some exercise, walking jogging, etc. There was also a place where women were able to complete their prayers, also there was a little school that taught women how to read in write in Pashto, Dari, and Arabic......I am all up for women's park.

Glad to see more schools are being developed...that is always a huge plus.

You let women out of the house without her husband? That's a shame. See, alot of people just think muslims are all like the Old Testament where girls were married young (infact they had to be married at puberty, part of old jewish law), where men dominate... but we are learning more and more that the only dominion true Islamic men have is over eachother. It's too bad, we used to respect you for keeping the women and girls under your control, but now we know that that was all propaganda and you're just weak men who pander to women.

          Bring back Franco!

On whose-ever behalf you are speaking, they must be defined as weak men because only a weak man has to put someone down in order to feel superior.
In other news, if you claim to respect anyone because of their control and suppression of a different group, your so called respect has absolutely no merit and you are more than welcome to keep it to yourself.

Woman: enjoy the bombs then. What kind of men do you think are incontrol of the weapons? Men who are docile and accept a dominant woman, men who worship women, gooood men? Or evil men who want to dominate and enjoy a superior position over girls etc? Who has the drive to conqure.

If such men see others like them they respect them and do not wish to kill them, but when dominant women and slavish submissive men who protect those whom they do NOT own are seen... call in a B2 and raze the place to the ground.

We've had enough feminism in america for the next 3000 years. We're not going to respect you for worshiping women and letting them run free.

(Old Testament supports evil, dominant men, has no time for submissive nice good men)
