Is there any wonder that the whole world is laughing at us, let alone some onlookers of this website?
A Russian soldier said: We entered Afghanistan at the beginning of the 15th century AH, but it felt like 15th century CE.Islam will prevail, a promise made by the Creator of this universe:
[61:8] They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with the breath of their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, even if the disbelievers hate it.
[61:9] He it is Who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the Religion of truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religions, even if those who associate partners with God hate it.

Manzarey, don't mind but every time someone has tried to engage you in a productive discussion with regard to radical versus moderate religious or secular view, you have responded with the counter answer i.e., "would you allow your sister to sleep with a boy friend upstairs when you are at home".
Now what kind of mentality have you got? How can you pose someone such indecent question? More importantly, are you suffering from some kind of insecure feelings with regard to the conduct of your or other people sisters?
If you are suffering from such kind of feelings, that is not good for you in the long run for you cannot keep your sisters caged forever neither we can...And in the next one or two generations, they are going to do what other girls/women do here.
You are living on an infidel land, having moved there with your own choice, have taken an oath of loyalty to its law and constitution, are paying tax to a kafir system, yet you are talking of 7th Century and taunting others. It is better you move to Mecca Madina to enjoy the blessings of the proverbial Wahabi moral system.

First ov all you are wrong i can prove it, not long ago you made a post as to why Muslims should be treated equally, you gave your claim with respect and i replied accordingly did i not?
secoundly what makes you say i even have sisters to feel insecure about..and juding from you saying "you cannot keep your sisters caged forever neither we can" doesnt mean you do things morally which a pashtun would never except and then have the nerve to even call youself a pashtun. but forget that for now, this is only going to divert the main point of this specific thread.Last edited by Manzareh; 12-07-2010, 01:38 PM.----------

Good for Manzareh for trying to rally people to preserve all the GOOD in their heritage !
Yes people here seem to be perhaps over-caffeinated, or ?!
They get so riled up about THE WRONG THINGS.
Then when they SHOULD be indignant, such as about attacks on the religion, they are suddenly what's called in popular parlance laidback - i.e., TOO relaxed, uncaring.
This is not necessarily germane here, but I was surprised at the high percentage - maybe 90+ - of Pashtuns and perhaps others who drink COFFEE ! Apparently ? For they say they dislike tea.
Coffee is FULL of horrible toxins, embedded in the oil part of it.
Whereas tea is both soothing to the spirit AND energizing to the brain.
I recommend people consider toning down that American-style coffee life and revert to beautiful, amber colored tea which is so invigorating.
Green tea is OK too, though not as important for health as it is hyped to be.
ANY type of tea is a million times better for one's mental and physical self than -- ick, coffee!
If you have difficulty breaking that pernicious Coffee Habit, good news. There is a Chinese heavy black tea which is ideal for that. It's also incredibly good for breaking down fats in the bloodstream, if that's a problem for people.
If anyone is interested, ask more. I'll be happy to tell what it is.
My Conclusion:
Maybe with a calm, tea-drinking crowd, we might have more Civilized Conversing on PF !

I'm laughing !
Maybe it was a gentle hint for you then that I suddenly felt the need to launch into an anti-Coffee diatribe !
Back, Back, Back! To TEA!!
Seriously, sometimes I 've seen people here sound almost hysterical or ferocious or whining or attacking out of the blue and I wonder to myself whether it's that Coffee zap they are experiencing!

^ Unknown, if you have to have coffee, by far THAT's the best !
It's really strong but the concept doesn't bother me the way the American companies' version does.
Like Nescafe, all Decaffeinated coffees too are way way unhealthy. This stuff goes right through your bloodstream and poisons your brain, especially over time.
Turkish coffee is probably fine for a hard studying student to stay up and alert.
But after finishing studies, ideal to shift over to tea.
Especially when dealing with foreign diplomats, they will likely be tea-consumers who look down on American coffee!
Manzareh, I think the Devil-Zionist Network [this is a joke on how they always label a certain Afghan group with that term] invented Coca Cola- it's EVIL!

I am sorry but you again couldn't understand that I wanted to say i.e., this concept of morality is probably not right...Originally posted by Manzareh View PostFirst ov all you are wrong i can prove it, not long ago you made a post as to why Muslims should be treated equally, you gave your claim with respect and i replied accordingly did i not?

That is obvious from the way you have expressed your apprehension about the possibility of your or my sisters getting spoiled (character-wise) if left to their own choices and to the presumably corrupting secular practices of the West as if they are highly prone to immorality whereas we, as males, are completely fool-proof to all sins...
Is not this concept of morality completely/exclusively male-cenetered, male-defined? You are appointing yourself as a kind of moral watchman to gaurd the conduct of your sisters. Cannot you trust them?
The second thing is, when I said, "they cannot be kept caged", I meant you have to trust them. And you have to consider them human beings...How can it be that you think, you've got within yourself some kind of intrinsic moral sense whereas they are inherently sinister...
Look at the ladies on this board...Look at Cateya Sher ....She is the product of this same Western system and pretty accomplished having visited many countries and worked in the conflict zones ....Do you think, because she was on her own so she likely did immoral things...?
What about the other ladies here on this board? Aren't they living in secular countries? How can you say they might have been corrupted by the secular system of these countries and the freedom that comes with that?Last edited by Toramana; 12-07-2010, 02:19 PM.

- No because shes a Muslim, she doesnt see it ok to have sex with strangers wheras in your atheist ideology its perfectly fine.

- You are deeply confused as to where im coming from. let me put it this way, the muslim women in the group will mind there daughters, sisters having sex without marriage, having boyfriends, going clubbing, drinking alchohol, having tatoos..were the non-muslims will not..therfore the muslim people are more pashtun having more pashtun values than a non pashtun as pukhtana have honour, protective over their women etc..you are not, which makes you less of a pashtun. no offense.----------

The basic point is, you are appointing yourself as a moral watchman over your sister to gaurd her moral conduct (as if she is an animal unable to decide between good and bad or is inherently sinister to do sin), which you evaded to answer.Originally posted by Manzareh View PostLook at the ladies on this board...Look at Cateya Sher ....She is the product of this same Western system and pretty accomplished having visited many countries and worked in the conflict zones ....Do you think, because she was on her own so she likely did immoral things...?

This is fundamentally wrong. You have to trust your sister (or my sister). No person can appoint himself to be a moral watchman over another person without the general will of the society because all human beings are basically equal in their capabilities to discern the right from wrong.
And instead of ascribing the good conduct of Cateya Sher to her religion, the plain fact is, even if your or my sister is pious and cladded in 4 burqas, you are not going to allow her freedom of action/movement without a Muharram (i.e., a close male relative). So if left to your religious views, Cateya Sher would never have gone for the numerous campaigns that she is telling us to have undertaken. (and she is going to Georgia this time ....Is is it allowed for her to go that far without a Muharam by the way?)
And this possesion right over womenfolk is reminiscent of the age of tribalism, ruralism, fudalism and barbarism. World has gone far ahead. And we should also move ahead a few steps.Last edited by Toramana; 12-07-2010, 08:02 PM.
