The Greeks/Macedonians where far stronger in the Near East/Western Asia than South Asia. Pathan-Greek admixture is very low level and as one might expect Persia had a much larger impact upon the region than Greece. Since Pashtuns are an Eastern Eurasiatic Indo-Iranian peoples, that admixed with Indics and to a lesser degree Middle Easterns.

Who were (or are) Indo-Iranian people and who are/were Indics? Thanks.

Pashtuns are a good 80-85% ANI and about 15-20% ASI

ANI = West Eurasians + west asians.

ASI = Pure south asian, ASI were the earliest south asian ancestors, most likely they looked like Australoid or negrito.

^ now most north west south asian population also show huge amounts of ANI in them. for example population like (jats) show a good 70-75% ANI range, but a generic punjabi or sindhi person would have anywhere from 50-70% range ANI. The further south you go in south Asia, the less ANI gets, Tamils may only have 30-35% ANI on average.
