The Soviets were one-third of the problem. The other two problems were the United States and her bitch.... her girl, I mean.

It makes me really angry, you know.... look at the state of Afghans (Pashtuns) now... We have no intellectuals, no scientists, no nothing... Afghans were the same people that were a huge part of the Indian elite for almost a thousand years. Right now, we're nothing more than socially-backward religious nut-jobs who are represented overwhelmingly by the labor and working class of the states of Pakistan and Afghanistan. We impose Arab cultural imperialism upon us with pride and those who resist are termed as non-Pashtuns... the irony! Because of our own disunity, we've gone back as a nation instead of moving forward.

"If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be".

"Knowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives".
