In the context of current situation, afghan is right. An outsider can not say anything about what they do to the holy places. it is (Saudi) land

its been saudi land since 1932. its been muslim land since the 7th century. i am not saudi, i am muslim, therefore my opinion should count for something at least.

keep these stupid skyscrapers outside the view of the masjid. people go there to connect with god, not to see a damn giant clock tower and hotel.

and don't bring the jew thing into this. they pray to the remnants of a grand holy temple.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

so what if it is saudi land. what is out of place is out of place.
without criticism how will they know that it is unattractive, commercialisation and above all, lack of respect for the holiest site.
the area around masjid al haram should be cleared so any building taller than the minars should be demolished. it should be open plan, in keeping with original almost minimalistic look, white marble, open airy arches etc.

It's not Saudi land, they stole it from Muslims. Sooner or later, those filthy Ayrab "royal" family will be hanging from a street pole.

They better enjoy their stolen wealth, while it lasts.
