  • How would you go about settiling in / immigrating to Afghanistan?

Kabul is a prospective city for me to live in, but I have no Afghan citizenship/nationality.

How long would it take to get Afghan citizenship?

I am willing to marry and consumate for it.

How do you move to a country for good and how do you get to stay?

it all begins with not being an ebonic wannabe who throws his hands in the air randomly like a hijra while he speaks.

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

First an afghan who is a true afghan does not need it.
Second You go to your village, and say to the local authorities who you are,the son of so and so and from the tribe of so and so and from the village of so and so and you have been abroad...you need up to 300 afghani ...say you want to speak to the head here, give him the 300 ....et voilĂ  you got what you need.
But if you are a tribesmen and known, you go to the head, and punch him in his dirty face and tell him you will be ******* up if you don't give it to me,my men will come and drag you from your desk and beat you up.

et voilĂ  again you have the same result.

      I prefer option b over option a.

I thought you were a loya paktia boy=afghan.
If you are born in the west, you can still regain your inherent right to citizenship by getting hold of your plars tazkira and your foreign birth certificate to show lineage through your fathers name on the said certificate, for this you have to go to your nahya in person.

If you are from, let's say Pakistan, or any other country, there is no currently active legal way of acquiring citizenship. Marrying an afghan will give you right to stay, but not citizenship, as it stands. If you google afghan citizenship, you will come to a UN headed document that shows citizenship regulation current during mulla Omar's reign.

Of course jahli papers can be acquired and become 'bona fide' afghan, but remember, afghan identity and tazkira regulations are undergoing a rigorous overhaul with electronic ID cards to be issued in near future, that require patrilineal weena khpal linking; with consequences such as if you are sussed out, afghan prison and subsequent deportation will not be a pleasant affair.

Find a good afghan family for arusi, do the honourable thing, and become resident if you have arman-e-afghan. Be good to the girl, otherwise we ( me, mr smith and mr wesson*) will hunt you down and kick your a$$.

Oh don't mention your ganja indulgene

        * have a guess where I got that line from?

Getting there is easy, but getting to stay is hard.

This I can do, its better than government offices and such.

What if they claim not to remember my relatives and have taken our land?

I am from Pakistan/London and my grandparents came from Paktia. I have Pakistani and British nationalities. My father does not have a tazkira either.

So I can stay by marrying? I will do that then.

              Manana.

Ok Hakeem wror, you have direct links to Afghanistan, your neka and ana. Inshallah you will be able to claim you afghan nationaliy, but with leg work.
Find out official names of your neka. Trace any documents. Find out the village he is for or born in.
If you cannot find documents, then you need to go to paktia, to the nahya whe your grandfather is from. You need to talk to mashar and bozorg there who know your grand father, or your father. Once someone recognizes that, you will need two shahada's, to witness to support your tazkira application. Oh you need to know your tabbar, kom.

I cannot stress you get this done, bcz if you cannot find people who know your neka, who can say that this mans father left for Pakistan, so this boy is our boy.

Remember these mashar are passing away, so your witnesses are dwindling. Go to afghan embassy inLondon, apply for visit visa, explain you need to sort your tazkira out. Go and find those old boys. Inshallah they will help you. But you have to go.

Expect to pay a few hundred pounds here and their to ease the bureaucracy. It is a necessity.

                Don't mention ganja

                  Dera manana, Torkham wrora.

That will be a long process, unfortunately.

Exact villages are very hard to find, especially on documents like that from the 1950s and way before.

All I know is that there are two villages, one where my grandfather was born and lived until he was a teenager and the other one where their family moved to afterwards. Both were in Urgun, but is a very big place. My relatives from Karachi say one of them is Urgun (Urgun-e-Kalaan; main Urgun) and the other is Worzana Kalai also in Urgun, but to the south, but they don't know the exact names of the smaller places in the villages where my grandfather lived.

The clan is Ya Khel and Urguni.

My grandfather's brother settled in Sar Hawza and don't know much about that.

Hakeem you are despairing man . . . . Pull your self together, check your self before you wreck your self I've seen due date!

Villages are smaller than you think. You are looking at paktia, not megalopolis Karachi!!!

When you reach these villages, go to few masajid, you will meet the masher there. Start talking, some of these old boys may look old but have sharp memories. Leg work. It's your right. Your ancestors. the words and names places of your grandfather or father you will have to mention to them will be enough for them to realize this crazy rasta is one of our own home grown

People are generous, with this info they will help you.

                    At least visit your paktia.
