i was in herat for a few days but i didn't get to look around the town. thank you. the mosaic work is beautiful. if only people made less (everywhere in the world) today and put more effort into creating quality

the fort was in a bad shape but its being repaired.

you should definitely visit herat. Its a beautiful city,way better than Kabul. In Herat You would not feel that you are in Afghanistan.It has changed alot in recent years.

Neat! I like it so much better than anything I've seen in Afghanistan so far.
I always meant to get there.

Why did Shamlawar say that one doesn't feel like Afghanistan there?

Feels like Eastern Iran to me, personally.
