Do you mean Mangalore or Bangalore? The former is comparatively lesser known than the latter although they are in the same state.

Mangalore is a town on the Arabian coast. Its predominantly Christian town and in fact the convent school that went to had its headquarters in Mangalore. Its got good sea-food based cuisine though. Spicy! spicy!
